What is so wrong with "hugging Essex"? Why am i "interfering with Bretonia Armed Forces Operations?" My Mafic has been blown up four times just for sitting there. I did not ram any Bretonia armed forces' ships or anything, i just sit there. There was no fighting going on near Essex in which "my huge and bulky ship" could interfere.:$
Everyone hugs Essex, why is BAF allowed to enforce this "3k rule" in this barbarian manner?

One thing I know from growing up in Essex. Never hug anything related to essex. You'll catch aome nasty STI or something, or accidentally produce yuppie offspring.

Dublin is a system under martial law; hence, the BAF and other field agents of the crown are in authority there. If they tell you to move, you move.
Furthermore, the Essex is not a Freeport. It is a military installation and should be treated as such - if you want to sit around, go to Graves.
If i was the only one who hangs around Essex then yes i would understand, but every trader who enters Dublin goes to Essex. Same thing happens to every miner, they come from the field to Essex and try to sell their ore.
Then a random BAF pilot shows up and tells everyone to move 3k
away because: "I have my orders, move or dai."
To me, that is just your average pvp whore trying to shove his
superior fighting capability down my throat.
Most powerminers and powertraders around Dublin don't even know there is something called "Disco forums", not to mention knowing about what's posted in here.
So, 'because everyone else does it' is not a valid argument. RP can be harsh from time to time, I agree that much, but just because a No-fly-zone was applied after months of consideration, doesn't mean it's 'a sore excuse to pvpwhore', the way you call it.
Dublin is a chaotic system, the authorities try their best to have things under control, and dozens of miners using their Military Installation as staging point doesn't help... At all!
Essex is not an open market, it never was, it never will be. Hood, on the other hand, is an actual 'market' even according to vanilla background. But because BMM don't like the IMG, they obviously have their own 'market' in system, but it's called 'Graves', not 'Essex'.
Even before the lockdown of Essex, I used to go to Graves to buy ore from miners, simply because that made more sense. Trading goods next to an Armed forces battleship seemed just wrong to me.
Now, if you are too lazy to fly to Graves or Hood to make your deals, it's not the 'pvpwhores' fault for 'shoving their superior fighting capability down your throat', it's your fault for giving them an excuse to do so.
P.S: Thinkin about it... I might make a Challenger or somethin to enforce the NFZ. It actually sounds like fun!
Come and trade at Hood (except if you are BMM). We have free cookies! =)
No, serious reply:
Essex is a warship. It is there to make sure the Mollys don't take Dublin. Ingame the crossfire of Essex can hurt everybody badly, so it is not adviseable to be where big things fire big bolts of hurt-me-badly.
It makes perfect sense to enforce the zone.
And: it gives the other places of interest a reason to exist.
