Ok first of all, this is a gunship, which should put him next to the only gunship there is in game bottlenose. While bottlenose has somewhat less armor (55k) lane hacker gs who is a lot bigger , and I mean a lot it's practicably bigger then half of gunboats in game has (65k).
Rogue gunboat which has similar agility it's better armored and practicably smaller. Liberty gunboat is smaller and it's one of the best gunboats in game in terms of fire/armor and size.
In other words, lane hacker gs should be buffed or re-sized.
That's about balance.
--------------------------------------------------
Now since I'm testing out couple of gunboats in game, I would like to hear possible useful loadouts for this ship from more experienced players with it. I'm used to use all primaries or all basics on it. How does it handle razor/pulse combination or such. Advice appreciated.
Broadsword is a nice light bomber, but it's pretty wide. When you compare it with lets say Roc who is wide as Broadsword is. When you compare their armor and agility you will notice the Roc which is civilian vessel is supreme compared to Broadsword. Bit out of balance too ?
Also compare Broadsword with Falcata. Falcata has supreme bots/bats, more armor, better response, only it doesn't have sleek profile. Broadsword here again looses to a practically open to all bomber.
If you have good aim then 3 razors 2 pulses and missile work. The problem of this ship is that it has not enough armour and bots/bats to eat some beating, it also packs only small 400 k core, so you simply dont have enough time to do significant damage to your opponents till you die. If the ship receives a bit of hull update and a bit bots/bats and 500k core it will be one of the best of its class. The main disadvantage is that the ship is box-formed so it is damn hard not to hit it, it is agile enough. If you take all other gunships ( I call gunships the 400 k ones) you will see that all of them have the slick- dildo like form(much harder to hit) around 100 more bots/bats and around 90-100k hull. So yes the ship is lovely as handling but have crap stats.
And the ship have nothing to compare with the Bottle-nose since they are clearly in different class. The Bottlenose is much smaller and have much better form, it is pain to snac it, it is actually well balanced ship with 4 guns and cau4 max, it have the size of a bomber and the power of GS.
If you gonna test try the 4 simular ships:
Claymore,Heimdal, Kusari GB, Molly/Rogue GB, every one of them is superior then the Hacker GB. You can test them on Discovery of Discovery Server. As far I can see they are balanced due to turret arc restrictions, only Heimdall and the Molly/Rogue GB have all 6 front turrets forward fiering. So I guess the idea to have 6 turrets should compensate the paper-thin hull and the small amount of bots/bats and the bad shape but actually it doesn't.

Yes and it is truly a gunship, something to fight snubs crafts with. It can easily fight bombers and fighters, since its very hard to snac.
Cap8 on hacker gs won't bring you any good when it's impossible to miss a snac while shooting on it. I don't think 6 forward guns compensate for its huge size. That's why I've mentioned Rogue GB and Liberty GB who are smaller then something that it's suppose to be a gunship.
I'll admit the ugly modelled and textured thing is a tad big, it's not the best gunship out there. Its stats indicate a gunship but its size is a gunboat's. So you can only hope to outmaneuvre your enemy (easier said than done), forward firing guns are a plus too.

Both the Tridente and Heimdall are classified as gunships from what I know.
And no, it doesnt need a buff. Its quite fast, and it can stand up to a rogue gunboatb gunboat pretty easily. Put a cap 6 on it, all hacker turrets, and watch cap 8 liberty gunboat owners cry. Of course, with equal piloting experience, it can go both ways (although I give the advantage to the lib gb), but hey, its a gunship after all.
Full Primaries work.
I tried several loadouts : Full primaries, Primaries + one Cerberus, Primaries + one Missile, full Solaris (lol).
You can use a pulse/razor loadout, it's quite effective if your aim is good.
But this ship will utterly fail no matter what guns you put on it. It does need some kind of buff.

I guess it is some kind of naming not classification since Tridente is definitely not a gunship.
It is bigger then the most of them, have 8 turrets and 500k core. I guess all of the class are called Gunboats the other is the name such as destroyer and crusier. Look at the Bred Dessie(witch should be actually Bret cruiser) and the Kusari Dessie. The names mean nothing. Stats of the ship on the other hand is very important.
Edit:
Well I disagree:
RA-4 Liberty Rogue Gunboat- Pure Gunship
Tridente - Outcast Gunship- Pure Gunboat
As I said it is all names and they are messed up.
And I dont think that Tridente is Overpowered. The 2 GBs that it should fight have good chances to win- it is the Imperator and the Hydra- both good GBs. Or they are also overpowered?

cap6 hacker gs vs cap8 liberty gunboat ? In order for liberty gunboat to lose pilot must be utter fail with gunboats.
Quote:Much like the Bottlenose which I, to the amusement of many, find overpowered as well.
