Real life police enforce laws. LSF players should do the same. LSF hasn't posted anywhere that I can find a list of what they consider contraband. The LSF factions status post (next to last faction on the page) says the following:
Quote:What We Do:
Protect the weak, seek out and destroy pirates and/ or terrorists in Liberty Space.
I don't see anything about killing smugglers. I guess the LSF must consider BHG to be weak.
Nowhere in the LSF factions status post is a list of contraband. Other players requested that the "police" (mostly navy) factions on this server post their lists of contraband, but I think that the RM and SF are the only such factions that have done so.
If an LSF officer on his own decides that BHG pilots are contraband (as far as I can tell, this is what happened), that is no different from a RL police officer pulling me over and deciding that the money in my wallet is contraband because he needs to pay for his donut fix.
chopper: Thank you for your support.

Kress: What part of Juan_Williams is NOT a pirate are you incapable of understanding? Read this thread again. Focus on my posts. My second or third post was addressed IC (that means In-Character) to Hoodlum explaining why I (as Juan_Williams) am NOT a pirate. The pirate flag and userbar in my signature are in relation to other characters, NOT Juan_Williams (just in case you're using them as an excuse for your false accusation).

The inappropriate actions of =LSF=Liquid are making me seriously consider making my character more unlawful. LSF should be encouraging lawful behavior, not illegally confiscating pilots, thereby angering players (like me) and encouraging unlawful behavior. Juan_Williams has NEVER been a pirate up to this point. IF Juan_Williams becomes a pirate due to this incident, you can blame the person who inspired that change: =LSF=Liquid.
Everybody: In a few hours, I'm going out of town for a couple days, so I won't be able to respond to this thread until I return.
Juan just please, be quiet, here comes the super bashing on the LSF. can people just for once be quiet about how oorp the LSF is? or how we arent acting like the LSF?, because im devoting my RL time for this faction, time i could of spend doing many other things.. yes you try to take it down once again. Why would you base your RP off npc's? im sorry if our RP isnt good enough for other people, and not as good as the SF or the RM.
Im so close form just leaving, removing FL from my PC and going. Only reason why im staying is that there are SOME good people here, thanks to those who are actually quite nice here. For not giving me a hard time like half of this server.
Some people here need to chill out, or should i remind you that THIS IS A GAME not real life. "oh your oorp, i will report you now". I sorta feel bad that the admins have to go through all of this.
i have been working on a new faction status post, soo dont even bother following the current. and in the draft i have a list of what you arent allowed to carry in hold.
I don't classify BHG as lawful civilians...they are an armed and militant group. And generally were, at some time, criminals. Probably they still run rackets on the side. The Attack on a BHG member is not an attack on a citizen of Liberty, and even if it was, why is an intelligence service freeing them? Why, for that matter, do bhg matter? Because 40 of them are worth 100k? It just looks like police corruption to me, espesialy if there are no previous cases of the establishment caring.
I'm sorry you feel that way, Sniper. I've applauded your faction.
I applaud how spear has handled this situation.
I'm upset that everyone on these forums thinks everything I say is an attack, and i wish someone would look at what I was saying without first assuming I was anything but interested in a situation. I haven't actually played freelancer since the 25th, and I wonder why anyone plays in this environment.
I returned here before leaving on my trip, because there are a couple points that I want to make in case this thread gets locked during my absence.
If =LSF=Liquid's primary motivation was enforcing Liberty's laws, then he should have demanded the 12 Xenos I had on board, since LPI and Liberty Navy NPCs do demand those. Instead, =LSF=Liquid demanded the 38-39 BHG pilots in my cargo hold, each of which is worth five times what a Xeno pilot is worth. The demands by =LSF=Liquid were based on greed, not Liberty law.
When =LSF=Liquid destroyed my armored transport, he vaporized at least two or three BHG pilots (and I don't know how many Xenos), since he only recovered 36 BHG pilots. I tried to reason with him, since I thought his demands were illegal, but he chose to attack me. When I tried to evade his attack (supported by a gunboat that I never saw), I was destroyed so fast that I never got a chance to send another message. =LSF=Liquid and his friend were more interested in destroying my ship than in saving the lives of any pilots I had in my cargo hold. That's why I think he is a terrorist.

Unselie: I agree with you, but BHG pilots are worth $20k or more each (in the right places), so the 38-39 BHG pilots I had in my cargo hold were worth at least $760k, not $100k.
EDIT1: Perhaps those BHG pilots were only worth $100k to =LSF=Liquid based on where LSF can legally dock, but they were worth a lot more to me. However, $100k seems to have been enough incentive for =LSF=Liquid to ignore the 12 Xenos in my cargo hold.
EDIT2: I guess we now know =LSF=Liquid's price when it comes to corruption.:nono:
