Or something like "You shoot me and I'll bring my Corsair down". Blah blah blah blah, there are many words to could say to them there and there, but you know, there are those wonderful things call Server rules.
The only situtation that mentioning another character would be anywhere close to being IC is that if they were both blatantly OWNED and FLOWN by the same person, and is noticeable. Like myself. I have a gunboat and fighter. Both owned by the same person. I cant exactly have 2 different ships on one character can I?
Maybe that was seen as whining, but oh well. Take it as you will. Considering I have only one trader and this example wont be happening to ME any time soon...
While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack http://pastebin.com/SYQXBufs

Friends don't let friend OORP.
That's all. Minor rant.

While we're on the subject of OORP, how about pirates who demand many times more than the victim's cargo is worth despite the fact that more or less all trade ships are fully insured by Interspace Commerce?
No longer active online due to a dwindling amount of non-PvP (trading, pirating, mining, etc.) fun in the new version.
Almost all the pirates I've been pirated by, have set the tax at 2mil, however most of them have agreed to take less if I tell them I just don't have the money.
As for players using their other characters as a get out of jail free card, I agree with the general consensus, waste them/overcharge them and then laugh maniacally as they cuss blue murder into the ether. If they bring in their big gun character what does it matter, they can't get their money back and you'll still be in pocket, even if it's only gloating rights about being a better gamer.
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.
I have yet to be pirated or attacked by another player. Probably because everybody plays by the rules and doesn't attack low levels like me.
