Also, there is no Corsair Navy perse.
Rather, Corsair society is based around families (large ones, like the ones you see in romanticized Mafia movies).
Some families on Crete have large amounts of land and resources and entire fleets; others have little and maybe one or two cruisers, maybe no capitals at all.
THere's also the orphan and fraternal organizations (like the Sails and The Brotherhood), but those would be the rarity, rather than the norm (Despite two of the three officials being that >.<).
To sum up the rules above....be excellent at all times, and don't take your ship to a system where Corsairs don't have a base to support it in-rp.
And don't go on a suicide charge in Eta.
AND FOR ADMIN'S SAKE, STAY OUT OF ALPHA.
Not beacuse we don't want you there, that would be awesome to have Corsairs in Alpha, but beacuse, in-rp, we can't get past the Outcasts defensive line in Eta.
Just beacuse the devs decided to keep weak the station defenses there (bad devs, BAD) doesn't mean that, in-rp, we can just cruise right past them like we can in-game.
Savvy?
gone four years, first day back: Zoners still getting shot in Theta :|
@DarthBindo - Got it. The main reason why I bought this ship was the fact, the few big battles that I had as a young Corsair showed me clearly, that Corsair's are amost always outnumbered by enemies, and there's lack of capital ships. That's why I bought it, mostly to help other players protect Corsair territory. Anyway, just out of curiosity I have a question about Alpha - what's wrong in flying there through Sigma's and Omicron Beta? Is it forbidden?
One of my last questions is about doing missions. I need to learn the basics of flying and fighting in this ship, so I'd like to know which missions - in your opinion - would be the best to get some experience on NPC's.
Edit: I'm doing missions from Tripoli against BHG Dessies which is the most classic Corsair cruiser mission, that I know about. If there are any interesting, challenging missions please let me know.

You know, that'd be nice if Outcast caps did the same ? I'm sick of shooting 8 Ranseurs twice a week in Gamma. >.>
Actually there's Corsair Navy, aka Hispania Armed Forces. They may be unpopular and not recognized, but they exist, despite not having finished concept, etc.
Okay, so I tried missions from Tripoli and I'm not sure about few things:
1. how can I predict is it mission agains BHG Destroyers? when I took mission for 990 k there where only fighters, but it happens that Dessies appear on missions for 700 k... so it's not exactly about cash, mayby some sectors, I don't know... please explain how it works;)
2. is it possible to take down those 4 or 5 dessies when doing mission alone, as one cruiser? I must say I have problems, mayby it's about fighting skills and strategy of using weapons, but for now I can't do it myself.
About the missions it is hard to predict- look at the level it might help, otherwise I dont know trick in order to know if Hammerhead spams or Threshers. The thing is when you do solo this missions in cruiser that you need to use other setup. 4-6 pulses and 2 LMs, because the Threshers tend to trash your cruiser with all that they have on close range- the NPCs dont have energy restrictions so they will chainfire razors and pulses at you till you slowly die while trying to kill the 2nd or the 3rd with primaries. So stay 1 k away hit with pulses and LMs, 2 Hull-landed LMs kills the Thresher. But this tactic is not the best one.
Best one is to have titan with you- he goes in the fray dodging and taking away the fire while you from 800 m shoot down the cruisers with primaries and LMs. Even single Praetorian with Novas and snac can do all the Threshers if there is some VHF to drain the fire.
And Alpha raids are fun I see no reason in RP or OORP to do them, as well the Gamma ones, if you take part just make sure you have enough fighters/bombers in a group- at least one per capital and that one of your capitals in group is full solaris and that you have someone capable to judge the situation right and assign the right targets for both capitals and fighters. Major Kudos to Karo on that one. He leaded may be the best Raids on disco.

I guess that would be all,
Jack
On 1, missions where you get BHG Dessies seem to be a little random. I've had missions worth 400k where I get Dessies and 990k missions where all I get is Hammerhead swarms, not that I'm complaining about a mission worth that much that only has fighters!
However, I do find that missions in the squares covering the Gredo Cloud (orange/red cloud near Tripoli) to the jumphole to Omicron 91 seem to have more missions where Dessies show up. Basically the area 5-6, C-> E.
On 2, 4-5 Dessies are very hard to kill if you are by yourself. I try to take missions where mission control sends 'help' if it is over 500k. Even a handful of fighters makes it much easier to take out multiple Dessies.
As has already been pointed out, NPC's have the advantage of 'infinite power cores', so they can spam Razors and Pulses and they will.
The best way to survive is to keep moving, if you sit still for even a second they WILL eat you.
Also, running away in a no chance of winning situation is better than dying.
