And when you said :
"You know, i still have a right to join if i want. I am a Merc Pilot" i answered what?
"Yes, kind sir, but you are not wanted in that fight, so i would appreciate it if you stay out"
Now, i didn't say you CAN'T join, I said it is just a plain intrusion.
No one can forbid you to join a fight, but people won't like you if you do it even if you are not wanted.

To many server laweyers, every where you go there's always someone spouting the rules about the least little thing, why don't you all shut up and leave it to the Admins.
Well it was a small quicly arranged RP event that I announced for LSF / HF only, 2 SA fighters joined in and we politely asked the independants to stand down. That's all there was to it. It would be nice if the independants would appreciate that sometimes the official faction sometimes arrange things between them. The SA pilots apologised for joining in afterwards as they missed my original message but neither I or the HF leader had a problem with that. Liberty is after all SA's territory and they were both in fighters.
That is exactly the question which has been consistently occupying my mind. The RM has death for the second smuggling offence and 8 million credit fines, and we totally ban independents, more or less.. I think it's a matter of getting used to RP in Liberty.

I'm guessing that's it also. Liberty probably has a strong reputation for being more lenient because it's the "starting area." You always have a constant flow of newbies mining for their new characters and whatnot, so RP is probably of secondary priority to most people.
Yup. You don't start in New Berlin, you start in New York.
So, no, New York will never be like New Berlin.
With hordes of new players "lol-ing" and "rofl-ing", it is pretty impossible.
I guess LPI will just have to ditch eating donuts whole day, and become trigger happy like RM:P

The Angels, in my opinion, are a better solution. Get them to explain to new players about RP and answer their questions. In my view, holding back lots of potentially excellent content (a new starting system, beefing up Alaska security, equalizing House NPCs) in favour of maintaining the SP Campaign when you have 816 headlines in 800 AS.. well, I think there's a lot of things we could do with that might outweight the benefits of keeping SP.
The people who complain about Liberty law aren't newbies, generally. Perhaps they think we are going after newbies (which we don't, we generally avoid prosecuting anyone under level 30 and just explain laws to them later or then). Mid-high level players who are used to a chatroom environment in Liberty would be my guess. RM is the 2nd oldest faction on Disco, and people are used to them.
