Ive been away from discovery for a while but after seeing whats instore for 4.86 im too excited not to play again.
I have a two problems.
Firstly, I know it unlikely, is there any way to revive old characters. My understanding is after "40" days inactivity they are wiped but i dont know if thats changed.
Another is, my internet sucks being from rural Australia. What ports need to be opened for the main server because anything I can do to make my net run faster i do it.
Thanks for anyone who helps.

This is rather exciting because it means the inactive character deletion time has been changed to 6 months.
The mining update has not yet been deployed because I've lost the files. No I am not joking. I hope to find them soon and will deploy it when I do.
The server crashes have definitely reduced in frequency. We still have the occasional one but in general the server is making through a day without crashing.
Yeah that means my characters would have been gone before the change........ oh well.
But still what ports need to be opend for the server.

As far as I know, Freelancer uses UDP port 2302 to receive data. However, opening that port on my router didn't seem to effect my lag/loss issues much.
