D3DWindower problems in Windows 7

I remember using it in XP/Vista with no problems [yeah, Vista moving one], but I just can't manage to make it work now with Windows 7 [stupid compatibility modes :angry:]. Does anyone now a way make it work or maybe another application that could make freelancer run in windowed mode without freezing?

Click on "search" up there to your right & then type in "Windows 7" & there are multiple threads that could help you on the 1st page alone:cool:

Too bad I had already done that and nothing seemed to work [I even commented a year ago in one of the threads], thanks for your help though. :cool:

It just does not work with win 7 your best bet is to install VMWare player and emulate XP and install in the emulation FL then it works.
There are tons of other applicatons but freelancer "freezes" if you go out of the window:

Well, maybe some versions don't work [starter, basic, premium] and some do [professional, enterprise, ultimate]?

It just does not work with win 7 your best bet is to install VMWare player and emulate XP and install in the emulation FL then it works.

this works for me.

Well Disco Launchpad does work for the windowed mode, but still like all of the other apps I've tried [and the -w command], the window freezes. Seems the only solution for the moment is emulating XP.
