so yeah now all those generic Freelancer IDs have been merged.
what about the people that bought the Corvo Cruiser with the Freelancer Researcher ID? right now they are not allowed to use anything bigger than GB anymore
I was thinking in to buy one Corvo, I already had bought the Freelancer Researcher ID, what about now? I mostly concerned about the people that had already bought it
Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is a Freelancer, who :
- Can fulfill bounty contracts and escort other vessels.
- May not engage in piracy outside of a posted bounty contract.
- May treat trade vassels as combat targets in persuit of a bounty contract.
- Cannot use any transports with more than 3,500 cargo.
Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is a Freelancer Researcher, who:
- Can trade. Cannot escort traders.
- Cannot participate in unlawful actions.
- Can fire on other ships only in selfdefense.
- Cannot use any transports with more than 2,000 cargo
The corvo cruiser I think was a oversight, and since the Researcher ID is now a Freelancer id, you will just have to sell said corvos.
Except the 2 SRPed corvos that where SRPed to Researcher IDs before 4.86, I have already talked to cannon and they are now considered SRPed ships to fly Freelancer ID'd Corvos. (I know because I have one of the 2 SRPed corvos)
Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.
hum ok thanks, I think they should refund the people who had already bought the Corvo with Freelancer Researcher ID since they were... hum... let's say "deceived".
Fortunately I am not one of them
Why not Covos for them?
Basicliy you cannot do anything else with the ID then to RP or to trade with albatross.
So I see no reason for removing Covo- it fits the ID and the ship info-card.

plus the Corvo is one of the few ships that acctualy looks like a research vassel
I agree with Govedo. Is there any way to add an exception to FL tag that allows someone who is RPing as a researcher to still fly the Corvo, and if you are RPing as a smuggler, the Pirate Train. Basically if you fly one of these vessels it dictates what sort of Freelancer you are. As long as you dont go against the infocard of the ship it should all be good right?

Notice how convoluted things can become and do you not think this may be open to a lot of wriggle room, you are relying on RP consistency. I think this is more open to abuse than the previous "said what it was on the tin" ID's of smuggler or researcher.

And what is going to stop someone from "RPing" a researcher, when they are just a freelancer that came under command of a corvo saying it is a research vessel.
Freelancers shouldn't fly cruisers without suitable RP Backing. Atleast thats my view on it.
