The difference is that Zoners don't have an ID which lets them shoot a wide range of lawful and unlawful factions.
There is a good reason why the Order is banned from systems with Jump Gates.
Quite frankly Outcast Caps and such should have similar restrictions, but it's pretty funny when some smart-ass brings said Capital into New York and gets smashed by the counter-capswarm.
On topic: The Resheph needs more leeway. Its combat ability was reduced drastically by turret splitting so it's not half as dangerous as it was before.
For the record, I sold my Resheph because it was rendered completely useless. I had permission from Order| HC to go check out Omegas, Sigmas and so on back in 4.85... but it was doing nothing sitting in the boring Order home system.

That's why Zoner just may not dock, while Order may not enter.

Funny? Those two Ranseurs showing up everyday to gank some players in New York and then silently run to Connecticut when said counter-capswarm shows up? :nono:
' Wrote:Add this to the Outcast ID and enter New York with a Storta. Guess what changes? Right, nothing. Everyone shoots you, time to shoot back. You can attack someone just by breaching into the protected ZOI. It is hypocrite to put a "can only engage in self defense" if you are already acting aggressive and just waiting for the first shots being fired upon you to be able to "defend yourself" rulewise.
edit: ok I had the feeling to add something more constructive as well.
It is kind of unfair that some IDs have a limited ZOI for caps while others have not. However the Order is a faction that's based in the border worlds making them different to factions that are not. So let them have a restriction compareable to the Zoners.
This is my proposal:
instead of
this one
Would this be an acceptable compromise?
No. Resheph are RP platforms, you're comparing apples to oranges.
No. No, it is perfectly fair. We're asking for an exemption for our Resheph RECON cruiser ONLY. Nothing more, nothing less. How is it unfair we ask for one ship exemption.
No. Impossible with that compromise. I can't get from the Omegas to the Taus without crossing House space. It's still limiting us from hotspots, and still doesn't allow our full range of motion.
Redirion, your tone of voice is atrocious. First off, lolreshes are NOT as dangerous as the Storta. 1vs1 with both pilots the sameskill, storta wins. The resheph is the worst PVP cruiser in the game.
You can't compare The Order to Zoners based solely on location.
The point, is there are Nomad Activity within House Space, not just the surrounding area.
An acceptable compromise would be exempting the Official Faction.

Exactly. This is partly why I want this, and why it was approved by the OHC.

Nocrap.
I've fought them three times this week, I know. But, quite frankly, we're not asking for leeway for the combat ships, but the RECON ships. That is the difference. Considering an LABC can tank a Resheph and win, due to superior fitepower, I see this as a moot point. Hell, RM Cruiser will win at point blank.
Resheph is a crappy warship, but a fantastic role play vessel, who's castrated. We want that rectified.
While Resh Spam is a concern, Reshephs are easier to blow up then stortas.
Natsumi Hideyoshi (The Order) | Alexis Hunter (Liberty Navy) |
I'd make it "cant use a jump gate with a cap ship" instead of "cant enter a system that has a gate". Althought that might be slightly harder to track.
As for the resheph being a rp plaftform.. I killed like 4 npc nomad Battleships in iota with a single resheph. Get 2 rephs instead of 1 and its more powerfull than a slow-ass osiris.
Furthermore I dont see why Order would bring a resheph to New York for recon. Iota ok, but to New yOrk they'd bring a freelancer tagged eagle.

Oh man I missed that part, a real jewel, thanks for pointing it out Red.
Another "I want to restrict everyone except my own ship" thing.
As for trying to argue RP logic, lets not forget that we are talking to the guy that lets 8 year old girls fly fightercraft, orders order ships to give attacking enemy ships in minor fair fights (no wonder we lost toledo with those tactics huh), and gives superhuman powers to his chars.

Might aswell ban it outright based on the activity of the Order Official Faction.

So, whats the other reason for Order| inactivity?
Edit to negate "no genuine feedback" comment:
Just for clarification, this ID change would come in handy because people could actually RP a Reseph Cruiser properly, however, I havent seen any people online that could do that, at least not from Order|. This request sounds reasonable, although I am under the opinion that granting it should come off as a reward for something, however, at the moment there is nothing to reward your faction for.
And dont say that it would raise activity immensely, because that comment would just be preposterous.
RL commitments, Other games, stuff like that. Also, it's not an isolated thing anyways. Activity of most factions has been dropping (at least the ones I am in). You can probably pin it down on either waiting for .86 final, or just a phase.
Resheph is not mindblowingly awesome as a PvP ship anymore, stands to reason that we remove the shackles a little bit. Although I prefer flying fighters when I do fly. Better survival rate.:)

Im afraid you cant single out faction inactivity with that argument alone. Every person in every single faction has RL commitments, plays other games and does stuff like that. No one is commitment free, yet they still keep up their activity. If you have commitments that prevent you from playing, I always found it better to leave the factions you're in instead of giving them yet another person that doesnt play.
Activity of all factions has been dropping? Nope, not really, just look at the faction activity summary. Those that are interested in the factions they're in actually play them, those that are not shouldnt be there in the first place in my opinion.
Its not a phase, its free will.
Again, Im bringing this argument up because I believe this change is tied to the faction directly. Why change it if you're never going to take advantage of that change anyway?
