The Bombardier's Brewery was one of the newer additions to King's Cross Station, located at the forefront of the base's habitation module. Generally the first sight of a off-duty pilot emerging from Bay Complex Two, the Brewery had (alarmingly) become an instant hit with Bowex's high risk convoy crews.

The bar itself is fantastically new, with the final construction having been rushed in order to placate an increasingly bored and boisterous station crew. Due to the unforseen jump forward in the bar's operational schedule, the pub is currently under-staffed, with a hastily reprogrammed loading 'bot standing in for a barman.

Much to the consternation of Andrew Peterson, one enterprising (if jaded) technical Services engineer has reprogrammed the android with an artificial personality, based on convoy comm recordings of the Trade Manager himself. While a human replacement is sought out, the robotic stand-in looks set to stay.

As the name would indicate, members of Borderworld Exports' notorious 'Clydesdale Brigade' receive a hefty discount on all bar products - ranging from alcoholic beverages to bar snacks and hot meals. As with all other amenities aboard the station, the Brewery's doors require a Crown Services KC security passcard.

Now let's see if the Bombardier is really better than the Pub in Scarborough. Mark said to John his newly appointed Navigator.

Uhm well I hope so since I don't wanto spend my hard earned cash for nothing. John Tansey replied.

Mark and John just finished a small convoy with Berylium Ore that went to Liberty on the way back Mark was informed from Peterson that the Pub in Kings Cross had just opened.
Since Mark was known to always head straight to the Pub after a succesfull Convoy it was of little suprise that he would head there as soon as he had Docked the mighty Hawking.

John his newly appointed Navigator joined him too since he was to the dismay of Mark a big Gambler that always threw out his money in the next best Casino or if there where games in a Pub, whatever came first.

As they entered the Bombardier it was of little suprise that it wasn't full yet since it just had opened that didn't bother Mark at all after all a good drink doesn't allways have to be in a full Pub.

As they entered a behind them voice asked something:

Would you like a drink sir?
Peterson what are you doing here I tought you had to finish some buisness on New London. Mark asked confused after he recognised the Voice behind him.
But as he Turned he saw that it wasn't Peterson that was asking that question but a Robot.
Oh *grins* seems like there isn't enought staff here, damn but you got me there.

I'd like to have a tequila please. John answered the Robot and sat down on a round stool.

Very well and what would you have mister Sanders?
I'll take a nice Wiskey, preferably the best you have here.
Sits down opposite of John and grins
Heh i could get used to Peterson taking orders from us.
Well *shifts in his stool* I don't like that thing really.

Mark laughs and takes a look around if somebody else is in here that he knows,
at the same time the Robot with Petersons voice comes up and serves the Drinks to Mark and John.

Right then seems that only workers are here nobody that I actually know.
Well Mark let's erm toast to a successful convoy.
A successful Convoy indeed my friend.
They lift their full glasses and then take a big drink.
Mark turns his head as he sees the entrancedoor to the Bombardier open wonders if that would be somebody he knew.

A sound could be heard from the table somewhere behind Mark and John. It would appear that, laying on the bench by that table, was Vincent Erlheim, the captain of the BES Stirling. (And the Dover. But nobody had seen the Dover for months.)

The sound he made could be aptly described as, uh, well...

-Snore-

...How long has he even been there?

Nobody knows.

But somebody is going to have to wake him up.

"Greetings Andrew. Fetch me a nice scotch on the rocks please" Raynolds said.

Raynolds and a lot of the staff had already gotten to calling the android Andrew, as a tease to their Trade Manager.

[color=#FFCC00]"And what do we have here."
Raynolds said as he saw Vince asleep on the floor.
"Hitting the bottle rough again, Vince? Andrew, get me a glass of water here, please.", he continued.

Soon thereafter, a splashing sound and a shriek filled the station.

"You filthy bugger..." Vince started, uttering words Raynolds had hardly heard of before.

"You'll be thanking me later." Raynolds replied to the utter flood of swearwords.

"Now, Andrew, where's that bloody Scotch?"

A girl in her twenties, red hair, squares skirt, wool jacket and the cutest eyes enters the establishment looking in all directions, acting with caution despite the recent developments. After all, she was a Kusarian girl in a Bretonian station, and in spite of the fact that she was now representing the Gas Miners Guild, the last time she worked inside the Queen's Realm, it was as a smuggler under Haruko's command. She wasn't looking for trouble, just business.

She sat at a table and waited for some minutes for someone to pick her order, but all she got were odd looks and an aura of silence. She then stood and went to the bar. The barman approached her and she spoke.

Excuse me but... is this station operational? I unloaded my shipment of Helium two days ago, and ever since I haven't seen a single lingot of ore coming in.

"Ah, milady, ignore that piece of junk android bartender. Andrew, fetch a Scotch for me and another one for the lady." Robert said.
[color=#FFCC66]"Here for a drink, or do you have business to do? Ah, but where are my manners. I'm Robert Raynolds, Captain of the Faithfull. And you are?"
he asked.

Mamimi Samejima, Gas Miners Guild, Transport Department, a pleasure. I wouldn't know what to say about that scotch though... I heard Bretonia's was the finest, but I am not used to drinking and don't want to get tipsy. She then giggles. Maybe one drink before I leave...

She takes the glass as the android leaves it on the bar in front of her, and drinks it all at once. Then she rubs her sleeve through her mouth to clean the little lips and after an AARGH product of the strong drink, she asks:

Do you know when the next gold ore shipment will arrive? I am really delayed with my run, it's been two days since I dropped the helium at that shipyard of yours...

"It's a great pleasure to meet you, lass." Rob said, as he kissed the lady's hand, something only a truly chivalrous Bretonian would do.
"Well, we usually contract independent miners or the BMM to fill the station up. Best guess, we have at least a couple of hours to ourselves before we head out to the cold, inhospitable void again." He said, in a rather sorrow tone.
The booze was talking again. He could clearly tell, and he didn't particularly mind.
It wasn't often he'd get to enjoy a drink with such a beautiful woman at King's Cross.

What do you take me for? A couple of hours... first you kiss my hand as a true gentleman and then you throw a bomb like that... You'll need to fix that if you pretend to keep up my interest in you... Robot, fill me another one. She then locked her sight at some random luxurious piece of furniture while she put a cigarrette on her lips. So... how much power do you have around here? Can you get me that shipment or should I... search... elsewhere? She waited, with the cigarrete unlit on her lips, waiting for his answer and reaction.

"The fella's got a name. Andrew, get the girl another drink." Robert said, slightly taken aback by the girl's sudden outlash.
"I AM in fact captain of one of their ships, so I guess I have some say here, but my hands are tied. The BMM are, as usual, taking as long as possible with their contracts. Also, if you leave right now, the closest place to get ore is two jumps away. You'll never make that in less than two hours with such heavy traffic", he remarked, watching the seemingly endless line of Percherons and Clydesdales waiting at the Trade Lanes for New London or Kensington.
"So, just relax." he said, trying to appease the lass.
"You can always blame the traffic for late deliveries, if the Guild asks." he continued.
"Andrew, got any soft jazz music in the database? Davis, maybe?" Robert shouted out to Andrew, the friendly robot-barman.
