In my view, BHG in Alaska is completely ridiculous and stupid. Why would a large mercenary guild be granted access, along with capital class vessels, into an area the majority of the militaries own officers can't access?
It's something that really ought to be removed. There are no BHG bases in Z21 anyway.
i dunno, praetyre - but aren there BHG NPCs in alaska? - along with destroyers?
i haven t been in alaska for some time, so i m not really sure, - but if they were placed there - they were palced there for a reason. the guild is hunting nomads actively - and they have a good understanding with the liberty forces ( npcs ) - only cause the player faction allmost kos BHGs doesn t mean that should change the NPC factions much. off of all lawful forces, the BHG is the one that hunts nomads the most.
liberty does it secretly, the order is not lawful - leaves the BHG.
As the situation is right now, only the =LSF=, SA, and [Core] have access to zone 21 and Alaska, anyone else trying to move in there gets 1 warning and if he doesn't comply or answer within some reasonable amount of time, or continues to move towards zone 21, he will be shot down and killed. We're unsure completely how to deal with those that come from Alaska to NY, but we tend to err..send them back to Alaska. Its not particularly good but just killing them would quickly get tedious, especially considering we can't watch it all the time.
My advice would be to kill anything coming out of the gate. It's more or less already gone past the point of no return and knows info that could threaten Liberty's national security.
but bhg in alpha and gamma makes sense. they are stationed in freeport 10, taus ( alpha ) and freeport 9, theta ( gamma ) to raid those home systems. - its original vanilla and it shows how the BHG works on a large scale.
its playermade that we think that the BHG should not activly hunt pirates but rather only work for single bounties. - but removing BHGs from gamma / alpha would mean removing them from theta/ tau aswell as the only reason they are there is to fight the pirates home systems.
yes, but lets see, about no one knows about alaska, and the lawful thinks very low of the bhg.
why would they trust them to go in their most secretive military system?
The problem with BHG being in Alpha and Gamma is that means that the Houses almost certainly know where the Outcast or Corsair homeworlds are, which cannot be true, as large blockades or strike forces are not currently encircling these systems.
Titan, while I want alaska and zone 21 to be more strictly enforced, I dont think that the player factions need to be taking all of the liberty and power here.
Anyone with an LSF or Navy tag should be allowed into the area unless some action has dictated that they shouldnt be there. Player factions are an addition to this game, but for the sake of RP - the SA, =LSF=, and [Core] do not make the rules here, the liberty government, navy, and non-player LSF does. All you achieve by shutting out independent LSF/Navy members is ticking them off.
