So I had some mad thoughts about the angels watching over big fights to prevent some OORP stuff like re-engaging repair ships or re-engages in general, rejoining transports that try to supply the base which is being sieged, and stuff like Hessian players flying sair ossies to refill the Hessians/etc (not sure if they have special cloaks/JDs like admins do). I think it would be good, because:
-Mass fights/base sieges would be less messy (for example, massive Hessian Gamma raids/Hessian NB raids/Council and CR Alpha raids, RNC Texas raids, LNS Hamburg raids/Ny and Cali raids etc)
-Angels wouldn't be so "bored" when on duty.
P.S. That's a crude idea yet, haven't thought about how could that happen in practice.
P.P.S. Excuse my poor english

This would require Angels having ingame disciplinary powers, making them server police - more or less. S'been stated before by the Admins that they're not desired, and the Angels themselves aren't looking to take on that kind of role.
Sounds more like a job for Admins when they're ingame.

Angels will need Chuck Norris ID for it
Back to topic :
Having Angels on certain battle ONLY as an observer is a good idea , if any rules broken we will have witness from staff member and AFAIK Angels present on certain event between faction.
That would require Angels to be online more, and from what I've seen, the Angels don't really want to do that. I don't blame them, I'd rather be on my RP ship flying around and having fun, than dealing with "how 2 i shat rick, 2 i need spesul gan? ))"
Being an Angel myself I can only say that this isn't the kind of job this group was founded for. As already stated, it would lead to them becoming the server police with the necessity to obtain special powers and bring much more online time on the table. I see my job as an Angel as a rather passive one. I'm sitting there, waiting for questions and interfering in ooRP stuff near Erie. Personally I don't fine it boring as I -always- have something else to do besides: reading, listening to music, work, write, whatever. So I'm really never bored. Only sometimes I actively PM low-leveled players and offer help.

Official factions are more-or-less able to request an admin sit in on their pre-arranged events to fulfil this function. Rule 4.9, I think.

Seems Junes said that they don't normally need to look for people to help, since there is normally stuff going on in Pennsylvania or they'll get PMs sent to them instead.

Yes, I usually am busy enough with people who are PMing me because some of their questions require more elaborate explanations and therefore more time. And if there's more than three simultaneous PMs open I tend to lose the rope and reach the limit of my ability to multitask.
Funnily enough, I almost always appear to get all the questions at once instead of spread over one hour. Just an observation I have made over the past months.
That's also a reason why I don't believe Angels would be able to kind of 'watch over' battles as their attention will never be fully devoted to one action due to sudden green text with questions mark cropping up on the screen without previous warning.
