[color=#FFFFFF]After what, 8 years of waiting the mod is finally here, and boy does it deliver. They've taken the classic game which I believe to this day is the best FPS ever created, put some new content to link it better to its sequel and an almost fanatical level to details (for example of the computers are with Windows 98) . An amazing mod, I'm half way through it and so far I am having as much fun as I had playing Half-Life 1 all those years ago.
Awesome! I do, Steam version though. I'll be looking into this - never played HL1 and whenever I have tried picking it up, I have been put off by the dated graphics (sadly). Thanks for the link:)

If you like the mod I recommend playing the original Half-Life too, since the mod only covers the Black Mesa chapters of the game, which is about 3/4 of it. The Xen leves (which are arguably the best part of HL1) are not featured

IMO, the gameplay is still excellent even with the older graphics. I got the HL1 Source port when I bought HL2, so being able to play one then the other was pretty awesome. Since then, I've also played the HL spin-offs thanks to Steam sales.
I was planning to give it a try, but the fact that their website has auto-play music has turned me off anything they would release with such poor choices for web design.
