Hello all, I return after a solid 1 and a half years away from FL, now I see a new update, hands down better mod and tons of changes, especially with trade routes, I remember my route that involved 7 bases and 1 hour to complete haha.

Now I have found a new one, with a 5000 transport I estimate that can generate 63,400,000 SC an hour or 17,611 per sec, is that good or bad, common, too slow or awesome?

Is that using ores or standard trade commodities? If standard, that's extremely good. If ore, sounds a bit below average.

17.611 per sec is a little low, even for standard cargo. you should be rocking at least 25/s

Anyone cares to share this secret with..... me perhaps? :|
Can't really find any good guide with trade routes, or something, which could help me get quick cash.

I am sorry that I play off and on for years..

The answer to your question ("what determines a good trade route") is quite simple: One that doesn't stress you out or suck the life out of you, whilst still giving you an average income.

I specialize in the most lazy trade routes about - sure, I don't make as much as top-tier power-traders, but I do it very comfortably and without any kind of stress. THAT is what a good trade route is about for me.

I prefer those with a bit of variety in the scenery, so mostly long ones. Also I hardly ever take the same route twice in a row. Being a Freelancer, having all the options, hauling goods to far-away places and seeing the wonders of the galaxy in the process is why I play this game. Calculating profit per time is where the fun would end for me (I'm bad with numbers anyway).

I like trading ore to and fro, taking the dangerous routes, and especially when Pirates are online. So fun to give em the slip!

Best mining route I know gives you a profit of 68350000 in an hour.
That's a complete tour including the time to mine the stuff.
