Can we please have more letters in the chat messages?
I think "good rp"TM sometimes just takes a little more than 1 1/2 lines. Can we have 3 lines of text as a maximum? Or: Double the limit that we have now?
It helps to improve the quality and it is better than to rapid-fire short lines.
At least I would rp more on server and outsource less of my rp to Skype if the limit was not that strict. But I get annoyed if I realize that every single time I have to cut my paragraph when it gets into meaningful rp and then others jump into the gap and my post gets torn apart and is not read any more.
I would like to see this too, however I am not sure if it is part of Freelancer and cannot be changed, or if its changeable...
It can be rather annoying to send a half sentence and continue in the next Message.

Would be great. Visions can be quite lengthy, and players naturally assume it's "over" after the line's sent to them, and start replying to what they "saw". A little more length would at least allow that first bit of vision to be a bit more detailed / complete.
Plus, plenty of things end up longer than the current limit.

This'd need either the source code or an EXE hack to change, probably. Might be worth pestering Adoxa with gifts of money and booze on the Starport forum.
this part is hard-coded and you need the source code to be able to change it
Tho i saw someone on the Lancersreactor that had the source code. But he wanted some cash for it and we refused to pay the price he wanted.

No-one on Lancet's Reactor has ever had the source code. 100% sure that'd have been a scam.
The development team / publisher / legal owners are the only ones capable of releasing the source code. Otherwise you're stuck with EXE hacks and working within hardcoded perimeters.
Admittedly, those alone can achieve some damn impressive things - see Tides of War as a good example.

Actually, he did.

Not really, in fact, it's one value that needs to be changed and it can be done without the source code.

Out of curiosity, how much did he want and how do you know if that was "real" deal? He released a sample or something?
