I have to agree with TFinnegan here. Last base he built was inside the radiation field near Trafalgar, possibly as an attempt to make it impossible to siege (Though the radiation was way too weak to do significant damage to battleships) and now this - combined with his statement that he basically wants to annoy official factions with his bases for revenge - of course, I can't say for sure if it's an accident or purpose, but it strongly smells like the latter to me.
Because someone is bad with game mechanics and screw his base by mistake means that you need to drop some hate in the forums, or may be you would like to tell what kind of advantage one have by not able to dock on its own base with fighters or with whatever?:lol:

I didn't even consider the weapon platform focus advantage - that's quite a perk come to think of it. But, it's still possible that whoever established this base forgot about the "base will be established 300m dead ahead of the constructor, facing towards the constructor's current location".
