......All of that is a search of a best solution.
How nice to start of with sarcasm. I will call it sarcasm rather than a poor attempt at bullying out of politeness,
Of course it is easier to change the mod but that is pointless as that is not the problem, the problem is still the same no matter how much you change.
The forum is full of ideas, however "Limitations here allow us to have a more immerse RP surroundings" is a good starting point.
Reduce mod size and implement rules with impartiality and transparently would be a start.
It is however, as you have pointed out elsewhree probably a pointless discussion to even enter into.

It is certainly pointless. The player population on this server doesn't impress me much. It takes a certain caliber of player, in high numbers, to create the kind of RP environment we all want. Even those players who spend their time sabotaging the process want good RP, in their heart of hearts-- they've just given up on it.
But I could be wrong about some-- maybe they really are just huge, clownish inflated egos with no self-awareness.

Is it?
For sure more people than just a few devs could participate in this change, at least.
If everybody tried to behave just as he does in real life, Disco would be a good place to be. Actually... "Just be like you are in reality" should not be that hard to do.
So no, there is nothing hard in changing things to the better.
Just start with yourself. Then continue with your friends...
I disagree. One cannot change people easy.
However given the example of the spyglass and battleship scanners for me is oorp to use them on my pirate bombers but if my targets use them then I am forced to go prop in order to be able to pirate them at all. Devs set the stage and are able to limit bad behavior via mechamics.

Thank you
I think it was clearly enough presented. You claim that people are problem, not things. I say, that people become more problematic when they have the capacity to become more problematic. While we can blable about how it would be cool to have only unproblematic people around, this won't happen, nor you can control it. Therefor it has no pragmatic value. What you could do, which would give direct results is to limit the capacity of people to become problematic, by taking away the tools to do so.
By "deleting" certain features of items in the game, you are limiting capacity people have to create problems or do harm. So this is the correct choice. Now the only problem with this is not limit everything. There is healthy balance between safety and freedom out there to be found.
OP might be right, but the thing is, it's not the OTHER people that are the problem for your fun. It's YOU.
You need to rely on yourself, your ability to create things and play with, your ability to have fun despite the crowd of negative things. The problem is really within each of you. Because YOU people, are all selfish people with a lot of ego. Bash it off yourselves, and you'll have fun as you wish, without trying to control the person next to you, or limiting yourself to their wishes.
When you have the minimum few people (it shouldn't be too hard to find them) who'll have fun with you in this crowd, even dealing with negative things is fun. Don't complain about that troll, silent trader, or 2 mil or die pirate. Just kill them or pay them then fly on. It can also be fun.
Interact with a hundred other people who'll still love to play with you. Don't think there are not many, don't think that they are only that 5% and that you yourself are one of them. That's just plain ridiculous. Who do you think you are? That's how you become 'elite', scoff and boo at everything, and miss a lot. That's what I think.

+1
Totally on spot.
The process of change has to start in the individual.
