Well yes the DEFILER is the best codename if you need shieldbusting, I think it is a perfect weapon and it should be in the game, this will also help in getting shields from capships down...
Everybody know the cap ships are a pain in the *** at the moment, cause everyone is flying them... I don't know if the DEFILER ever was in the game and or why they got it out off the game or never putted it in...
there is even the Idea of getting rid of the shields on cap ship, but I think making this codename availeble on wrecks should be more fair for the cap ship owners too... I always fly a fighter and it will never be different (altough I admit I am a pretty good cap ship flier *evil laugh*)
Then people say, yes but its a disadvantage for fighters, well my couple of tizoners and ARCHANGEL's will get them off in maybe the same time believe me... And don't forget the refire rate from the DEFILER is much lower then the others and for lots of people very hard to point at anything... So DEFILER's aren't that more effictive against fighter I tell ya....

Whats all the fuzz about not having enought codies or nomad guns... i got an entire Freigher full of those things... especially nomad blasters lasers and cannons... Just get yourself a fighter fly EVERYWHERE ^^ and you cant miss them:)
The key to finding a good wreck is to get off the obvious paths and think as a wreck... "if i wouldnt want myself to be found.... where can i hang out" Do it... and if you still want some guns... you can PM me (preff ingame since i can only connect to forum at work)

You kidding?! Codies are fine the way they are now...
I disagree.
Codename weapons are nearly all 2.0 refire guns with 600 m/s muzzle velocity. There isn't enough variation in these guns to make them practical to role play with.
If you use a gun that has 700 or 750 muzzle velocity (IMG, BAF, GMG, Zoners, BHG...) it makes you very inaccurate when using codenames along with your faction class 9s.
I agree on the projectile speeds, but unfortunately we'll have to live with it unless an entire suite of codies is added to accomadate the 700 & 750 ms projectile speeds. Where is that all going to go?
To the previous post about battleships... They are just where they need to be. "everyone flies one" isn't an excuse to nerf them. I don't fly them.:)
