Ramming works nicely too. Except for formations with big ships.
In fact, is it possible for small ships to ram each other with shields up and hull damage? And assteroids, too? That way battleships in assteroids would actually get damaged, and small ships would have to look where are they going.
' Wrote:Also, can you add a field to Kusari aswell? Maybe you can give them activity by that. Samura mined field?
' Wrote:Samura has a large niobium bonus. Kusari controls Stokes. Stokes has a niobium field. Kishiro and the GMG can mine the Hokkaido alien organisms field (unless that commodity is bugged like scrap).
You know what to do.
Fields. There are two silver fields, two copper fields and two cobalt fields in Omega 7. And one additional weak copper field. I checked em all late last evening, CET - north silver was weak, large silver was okayish, north copper and cobalt were nonexistant. South copper was nonexistant. South cobalt was good. Guess Daumann wasn't into coppermining that evening:D
As for the recent changes: Auto /local is a REALLY brilliant move that'll cut down significantly on the amount of people ending up annoyed by chatter in say, Dublin, New York, Leeds, Omega 7, Texas... any system with a lot of folk saying nothing with way too many words.
Kusari has Tau-29 as good mining ground.
Hokkaido should be Samura gas mining spot once gas mining comes (I guess)
Aliens organisms should be mined in Beta by GMG, however they're not profitable.

No.
Omicron Minor, how else the hell are we going to do solo dessie fighting missions? Last bomber who tried failed. And Zoners going to Delta through Kappa.
Rot Front in Omega 7 (or 11, whichever).
Forget that. Shields can withstand rock.

Huh? Asteroids are supposed to be dangerous. And i would like to care about not bumping into them. And i would like to see sair battleships crawling there being damaged with each and every asteroid bump.
ANOTHER FEEDBACK ON MINING!
Getting rocks right into the hold is great, yes, until you realize the problems for lesser mining ships and, most importantly, that people can't steal each other's ore anymore. When it's about corporate "competitions" of different mining factions who don't like each other but don't want to shoot first, it's a great way to do it.
Also, omega-11 mining spots - all of them - give really, really low drops.

I disagree there, mate. This would make missions a lot harder. I'm doing missions in a Praefect right now and
i guarantee you sometimes bumping into asteroids spoils your aim (at least in my case).
I would agree to that only after these conditions became active.
1. NPC-caps should take damage from asteroids as well.
2. Since the mission director sends you sometimes to a cloud/asteroid field bump the payments for these
missions to 1-1,5mil.
3. If 1 and 2 can't be made, just modify the mission director in that way, that he won't send you into clouds/belts.
EDIT:
@ topic: Forgot to congratulate you Cannon for all your work. Since the local chat is default i can type a little
bit faster!:yahoo:
' Wrote:I would advice to shorten the refill time to 180 minutes.
The people who are on early mornings/ midnights ea can mine then.
Now, They cant.
So the time is against them in my opinion.
Sure, Migration is good, For RP, but we would need faster refills so that when lets say: People who are online at prime times 19:00+ CET can mine
People who are on mostly at night/ mornings 08:00 CET ea could mine.
A little comment on how it works by an admin would be welcome, and possible answer alot of questions.
Early mornings / evenings is relative, since we have people on all around this funny little blue globe of ours. For example, assuming I didn't have anything to do (like work) and would get on Disco when I first get up in MY morning (0700 local) - that's 1200 GMT. And I'm easily capable of being online at 2200 local - with is 0300 GMT.
There's nothing preventing you from mining during the times you're on - it's just that WHERE you mine may have to be adjusted due to your time zone.
