S'why we banned indie traders and offered to let IC| stay in Rheinland. They declined and negotiations stalled.
Anyway, neither Pancake's explanation or my parody of it are truly accurate. I suggest you browse the communication channel if you really want to understand what happened.
Go back a year and count the number of embargo violations by official interspace commerce transports alone. This has been a long time coming.

I have. I wouldn't have accepted any deal that penalised indy members of my own NPC faction, either. I'm not in this to be an elitist that puts my own group's interests before anyone else's. Kudos to IC for not bowing in to that mindset.
I'd suggest dealing with indies and official members as they break the law. Impose incrementally increasing fines for official breaches, until you have a final disciplinary action after 'X' counts of whatever. Innocent until proven guilty and all that noise.

Seconded. Official factions are caretakers of their NPC faction. It is their responsibility. On the other hand factions can't be held responsible for every stupid action of their indies.
The best solution is to give a FR5 tool to the faction leaders, but that's far from reality.

[LN] and IC| are very alike in this matter. Huge indy playerbase, practically no control. Yet [LN] is not bounced for this as much as IC| is, even though LN indies cause more direct damage and chaos than IC indies.

I have yet to see something comming out of that!
The RM and their indies penalise LN indies by huge numbers, coordination, and kicking our asses in every battle since the new mod, pretty much.
