i had the same problem not long ago because my network card wasn't working properly lol but using another machine in the house had it working in no time.
I have found that the battleships dont have enough power for unlimited gun firing. for 4.77 Igiss, you should make battleships have more energy or battleship turrets have a little less. Whne me and korrd dueled we kept running out of energy.
Also i think that the BS shields should recharge a little faster. without shields batts it takes forever to recharge (in the heat of the battle it can be the difference between victory or defeat).

Isn't that the reason for having guns use energy? Energy management adds a bit more skill to the fight.

Well. I didn't like to loose the battle. But that's not the reason of my post.
BS shields should reload more units-of-energy per second than a fighter, because a BS has a BIGGER reactor and far stronger shields. It's supposed that a BS can divert more power to shields than a fighter.
The reload rate of a fighter shield is arround 240 units per second, with a maximum shield power of 11k. And the BS reload rate is almost the same, but the maximum shield output is 200k. Almost 18 times more. It's supposed that the reload rate is related to maximum shield output.
Reload rate should be proportional to shield max power and reactor power output.
