Interspace is ready to deactivate the Jump Gate network in Western Kusari

Following a month of stalemate between the Kusarian forces and the insurgents in western Kyushu and Tau-29, House Director Matthias D. Falkenrath explained in his bi-weekly press conference to journalists and markets the reason for a second consecutive increase in premium insurance for cargo passing through western Kusari.

Let's watch this part of his interview.

"Herr Falkenrath, what is your answer to the Kusarian Ministry of Finance which urged Interspace to keep its insurance cost rates to 822 A.S. levels?"

"This is what we initially did, as we tried to downgrade the importance of the insurgency in western Kusari. However we received numerous reports and insurance claims about Imperial outlaws illegally hijacking and demanding the cargo of civilian transports if they deemed it useful for their cause. As we could no longer afford these financial losses we had to increase the premium rates.

However I would like to ask once again the government of Kusari to work more intensely in defeating the outlaws and restoring order in Kyushu system. Interspace Commerce also seeks peace and stability to be established as quickly as possible and we have some important tools available."

"What kind of tools?"

"You will have to forgive me but I cannot disclose everything at this moment. However what I can tell you is that whenever the Kusarian government requests it, we are ready along with our partners in Ageira Technologies to deactivate the Jump Gate leading to Tau-29 system, the trade lane starting from Tsushima, as well as any other piece of Network in Tau-29 system. We have reasons to believe that without the established network, the outlaws will be unable to hold their positions much longer."

Core's Economic State is Unsustainable?

Hello everyone, my name is Julia Mobius and Today's Top Story is again the conflict in Omicron Delta, a secluded system barely populated on the edges of Sirius Sector.

Together with us we have a top economic analyst Frank Müller, Professor of Economic Science in Spandau University of Planet New Berlin. Hello and welcome to the Show, Mr Muller!

Guten Tag and thank you for the invitation, Julia.

We have heard lots of things about the recent developments but few consider the economic implications or consequences. What is your estimation, Professor?

Well, to put it simply, the economic state of the Core is looking grim Julia. For good or worse, the Zoners were for many years now the major business partners of the Core. By destroying that connection, they have lost a great deal of their annual income. I would rather not explain in detail how many different functions the Zoners were vital for the Core.

According to the Head Administrator of CoF, this happened over a pack of smokes.

This is pure nonsense Julia and we all know it. Finn McCool disgraced himself to the scientific community by claiming such ridiculous things over Sirius-wide communications.

Anyway, based on the decisions that the Core's leadership made over the next 48hours they also lost a number of outlying organizations with which they used to maintain agreements and economic ties. Our House-based ALG Waste Disposal was attacked by Core warships while delivering humanitarian supplies to Freeport 11. A few hours ago they naturally declared the Core as an enemy. It is a matter of hours if not days for the Independent Miners Guild to make a similar announcement as well. The Junker Congress abandoned them too. And I suspect some House governments will be forced to make a decision too, sooner or later.

So how do they get out of this? Which is the route they are going to take Mr Müller?

Even before this crisis, the Core was already overstretched. It had opened too many fronts and started numerous construction projects. According to our best calculations the Core is no longer able to pay salaries to their mercenary fleet, which means that the prospect of mutiny is very real.

They have only way and that is forward. They can only push and achieve success with military force rather than diplomacy. And they need a big loan.

A loan? Who would provide a large loan for such a risky venture?

The corporation you work for, Interspace Commerce perhaps? They have the means to force their way, I know that.

Hello everyone, this is Sarah Summers from IC News reporting.

Today, at 9/11, our hosts Horatio Hook and Tom Sullivan of our much-celebrated 'Man of the Hour' show were granted an exclusive interview with Sir George R. Hall, the Admiral of the 3rd & 4th Fleets and bestowed Knight of the Bretonian Empire.

The interview was held on board Battleship Norfolk and as per usual, during the live interview viewers had the chance to ask questions to the Admiral. Let's watch some parts of this exclusive interview!

Horatio:
Where Gallic Royal Navy's main effort is concentrated? Penetrating New London's defenses or conquering Magellan?

Admiral Hall:
We deem that they are attempting to starve us out and aim to conquer Magellan instead. Not a terribly good strategy if you ask me, as they are holding the infertile Leeds, and us Cambridge, which can supply itself and Leeds as well. They are holding Leeds... Well, not precisely as I said. We still control much of the land down on the planet, but they can proudly call themselves the owners of the smog clouds.

Horatio:
So why they hit Magellan? Are they perhaps interested in attacking you from Manchester's eastern borders?

Admiral Hall:
I do have some different ideas about the positioning of our fleets, but for more information you had better contact Fleet Admiral O'Brien. I am afraid that I might say something that's classified. I'm in charge of the defenses in Cambridge and Omega-3, and some in Poole.

Tom:
Then, you know first hand of the perils that convoys have to pass through, namely the Omega-7 and Omega-3 gauntlets, especially after the renewed Hessian attack. Interspace Commerce released their monthly traffic data and it doesn't look good at all.

Admiral Hall:
Gauntlet, you mentioned. An iron gauntlet, two in fact, that are clenching our bloodlines. That's what the Hessians and the Corsairs are. My men might be a bit... rougher than in other corners of Bretonia, but I assure you, they are expert blacksmiths! (...)

Tom:
But Sir Hall, the data tells us a very different story. They tell us that the route is lightly protected and safety is not guaranteed. Unnamed sources reveal that you have been forced to transfer units to the Northern Fleets. This is something the business world and residents of Sprague need to know.

Admiral Hall:
It is protected by all available forces. It is just that we don't have enough. The Norfolk fleet covers three systems on its own, and its size hasn't been changed for twenty years. I really hope that the Fleet Admiral is giving her forces, up on the north, a very good use.

Tom:
Do you believe your fleets would have scored a decisive victory against the Corsairs and Hessians if they were properly equipped and manned?

Admiral Hall:
(...) If my fleets were reinforced, they would move somewhere else, perhaps to pillage what's left of Corsair assets in the Omegas.

Horatio:
Since we are talking about safety, traffic data from Cortez system indicates that the terrorist organization known as Battlegroup Auxesia is illegally using the network, fielding even Battleship-class vessels. This creates significant concern to your greatest ally, the Republic of Liberty where they are outlawed. Even more, thousands of wealthy vacationers of Curacao have cancelled their planned voyage to the exotic planet because of the escalating threat.

Sir Hall, is the Kingdom interested in upholding the Curacao Treaty and evicting those defectors from the joint space? Voices in Liberty call the government to cease fulfilling its obligations to Bretonia if they do not fulfill their own.

Admiral Hall:
(...) From Cortez, yes. But Inverness and Omega-3 aren't bound by the Treaty.

Sir KBE Hall, it's an honor to speak with you. My name is James Orsawal and I work for Planetform Inc, in California Minor.

Admiral Hall:
You're a lucky employee, James Orsawal. Did you want to ask a question about Harris?

Private Citizen:
No Sir. I want to ask about what advice would you give to Bretonian civilians working in Liberty. As you know much better than I do, there is an internal warfare between Liberty Navy and the LSF. What is the Foreign Office's recommendation for their nationals living and working in Liberty? And.. if the LSF has truly turned rogue, what kind of measurements has the Kingdom taken to protect itself and its citizens abroad.

Admiral Hall:
Listen to the news every day and follow the recommendations issued by the Liberty Government. I can only recommend you not to comment on the matter in public, as I am not there. You are a Bretonian after all. Let the Libertonians handle their problems themselves, and you do your job and your part in strengthening Liberty before Gallia.

Not a few hours later after this rare interview, an online petition started taking traction in the neuralnet with Bretonians asking from the Admiralty to reinforce Admiral Hall's forces -- who according to online surveys he is considered to be the best Admiral that Bretonia has to offer and he is almost certainly the successor of the incumbent Fleet Admiral or Minister of Defense.

As for the eviction of Battlegroup Auxesia from Cortez system, it remains to be seen. Analysts believe that in the upcoming weeks the LibGov will pressure the Admiralty to deliver their promise and uphold the Curacao Treaty.

- Yes Paul, I've just received an info that the current Senior Director of Interspace Commerce is going to give us speech and then I believe a Q&A regarding the recent Sigma War.

Good evening everybody.
I know that you would rather be home now and spend your time with your family, I would too, but I guess this conference is more important. I am eager to take your questions about the newest Sigma War, but I would first like to say a few words about our company and a few more things.

Two years ago Mr. Alan Johnson took over this Company. When he took over, Interspace Commerce was in a tough position. Our company was banned from Rheinland space. A lot has changed since then. We improved our relations with the Rheinland Republic, we grew bigger and we will keep growing.

I am here to inform you and the rest of the Sirius that Mr. Alan Johnson stepped down from his position as a CEO of Interspace Commerce. For the new CEO of Interspace Commerce the Board of Directors elected... me - Ana Wight.
Mr. Johnson stepped down due to his health problems. As for the Mr. Dean, he will remain the 2ic of Interspace Commerce.

I don't expect this to be an easy job, on the contrary, it will be... challenging. I am personally expecting the year 825 to be the year of action. We will employ more workers, improve our loan service and much more.

I believe that will be all for the announcement part, now I will take your questions.

Greg Miller channel 5 news. I think our viewers would like to know what is your stance on the current situation that we have in Sigmas? Will Interspace Commerce get involved?

Thank you Mr. Miller.
Well the situation is pretty grim at the moment. The Rheinland Republic forced this war without examining other options. Wars are expensive and even though Rheinland's economy slightly recovered I don't think it's the smartest choice they made. The economy hasn't recovered fully yet and I don't expect it to recover faster now that they've entered another war.

As for our involvement in all this I can say one thing; our company will stay neutral to both the Republic of Rheinland and Gas Miners Guild. We hope that the both side will be able to resolve this issue before any bloodshed happens.

Hanna Schultz NY Today. With the Gallic forces knocking on Liberty's doors what is your opinion on Liberty's current defense. Will we be able to push the Gaul forces away from our home?

I will be honest with you, the situation is bad. I want to believe that the Liberty forces will be able to withstand the Gallic armada. Liberty needs friends, powerful friends. The Bretonia is weakened to a point where they are barely able to defend their homes let alone help Liberty defend it's own.
What Gauls are doing right now is they are trying to cut any relation, supply shipments between Liberty and Bretonia. Our shipping division will do everything in it's power to help Bretonia and by that I mean frequent shipments of industrial supplies, food etc.

All we can do right now is avoid Gallic forces as much as possible. That'll be all.

Mathew Harrington CBCS. We all view Interspace Commerce as one of the biggest corporations in Sirius. Which other corporation would be the biggest threat to Interspace Commerce?

Our company tends to improve relations with other companies and corporations as much as possible, but with some you just cannot.
I believe that Samura would be the biggest threat to us. Why? Samura is the company that wants to Monopolize Kusari and claim it as their own. I am talking about the Government. Samura would like to see us as away from Kusari as possible. They are stubborn and conservative just like the old Kusari, the Imperial Kusari.

Christopher Kane channel 13. Miss Wight, due to a western crisis and the war between Bretonia and Gallia and Liberty and Gallia, is Interspace Commerce making profit out of the new rising interest rates of your loans?

Thank you Mr. Kane.
The interest rates are rather higher than the previous years, but only for a few percent. You have to understand that we our putting our money on the table and the risks are enormous. The risk is followed by the higher interest rate, it's how it works Mr. Kane. We are trying to help our clients as much as we can and to help them as much as we can. The profit comes after, help is what we're interested in.

Greg Miller channel 5 again. How's the current situation between Interspace Commerce and Rheinland Republic? Not so long ago the Interspace was banned from Republic's space and now as the ban is lifted, is everything back to where it was?

Thank you Mr. Miller.
The relations with the Republic has been restored to it's previous status. The relation between our company and the Republic has improved ever since the ban was lifted. You can also see the improvement in the Rheinland's economy. The lift of the ban helped the Republic's economy. So yes, everything is back to where it was, it is even better now.

Jason Williams LIB News. Miss Wight, earlier you mentioned that your shipping division will do everything in it's power to supply Bretonia with commodities that they need. How often are those shipments disrupted by the Lane Hackers and how big of a threat are they now as they were before?

Our convoys do get attacked and yes most of those attacks originate from the Lane Hackers. Bounty Hunters Guild was very helpful over these years as they helped our convoys get through pirate blockades I don't know how many times. The Lane Hackers are the biggest threat in Liberty apart from the Gallic Royal Navy that is on Liberty's front door. We have people who will deal with such threat for a right amount of credits.

Security footage has captured an unauthorized Corsair "Correo" freighter landing to the Estate before the explosion.

Experts say that this is all happening after Bretonia failed to respond to the threats of NEMP attacks made by Zoner terrorists with links to The Order terror group. Corsairs were encouraged by the Kingdom's passiveness and reluctance and this nuclear detonation is a test. If Bretonia fails to protect their citizens again, then we should expect a massacre to happen very soon.

Michael Bennett Gray takes on the challenges of Interspace leadership!

Greetings readers, this is Lisa Monroe reporting from Newark Station.

Following a series of reports of a severe raspatory affliction taking hold over the upper management of Interspace Commerce, the company has shifted to new leadership to take the reins during these trying times. Michael Bennett Gray and his team have taken upon themselves the challenges of leading one of the Big Three Liberty Corporations with the stated assurance on maintaining Interspace's "Impartiality and Integrity" when conducting business across Sirius and Gallia.

Mr Gray has been an employee for Interspace Commerce for over forty-five years, and prior to his new position worked as the Chief Commissioner for the Sirian Sector. In this role he was tasked with managing the auditing teams of the company.

In his new role he has promised to reassess the trading insurance situations within the Tau and Omega regions, this is following many criticism from many investors that the current threat assessments are inadequate.
