Regardless of ship class...and regardless of how convenient it seems...
The point remains, flak is unbalanced and lowering to damage won't help. I was using flak in Open SP when did 5000 damage and that raped NPC bs which have armor upgrades I may add. The only solutions are
to be honest i couldn't care less if flak will be removed or not...i don't like using caps anyways...but removing stuff wont solve anything on long terms...
just think what nice things we wouldn't have here in mod that they were removed every time they got unbalanced and way overpowered...
just a simple note....:

See the thing with Flak is that is offers no counters and does supreme damage in addition to blowing your guns off. I am the strongest supporter of the R'Talon getting a big ass nerf. Same for the viper. Also with the Taiidan bomber as well... So don't get high and mighty on me.
Flak is unbalanced as only 4 salvos knock out a BS. Battle Razors take time to kill and so do mortars and you can dodge those. But flak is near instant in some cases.

yes..where theres a will theres a way..but it is great amount of work...also creators of original ships must be asked for permission to change their original cmp file (model of ship)
@Tank..remember when mortars were torp turrets..not energy weapons like now? then non vanilla ships were immune...they got fixed...so now they affect all ships..i am sure that something can be done about flaks too...
about that hight and mighty stuff u mention...i know what about i am talking... and theres not even tiny attempt to be high and mighty on u in my words...i simply and quite objectively gave u a list of previous and current unbalances...if u took that wrong...thats not my problem...
i can understand that u are mad for being killed in seconds...but harsh decisions wont do any good
Keep in mind... FLAK's has two downsides as well. They move slowly and they don't have guidance (only travels in one direction). If you hit something, it has to do alot of damage, because it is pointless to try and use it against fighters, they dodge it easily... trust me, I know.
I only have two installed so that I'm balanced out for fighters, as well as the big boys.
Don't remove it... just fix this difference problem we have with the non-vinilla ships.
