Just tested the ramming damage with a BWT and I was very surprised. Took quite a bit out of a Karasu's hull. Going to test with a Whale now to see if there is any difference.
Mining News: You can fill a Hegemon in 10 minutes now, which is a reasonable time frame to "simulate work" in a game. It was tedious before, now it is good.
Price was nerfed, but I didn't try it yet. That's okay, too. If it helps to emancipate trading next to mining/hauling, it serves roleplay. I have no objections to that price changes.
New ore price: We calculated an OORPly fair price in the MMC channel. Since mining is faster now, but the hauling route stays the same, more profit must go to the hauler.
We figured out 3k / unit could be a fair deal, but that's only OORP. Let's see what ore prices after the recession do. =)
Depletion: It's hard to see since no ore drops float in front of you now. So you can hardly check (if you want, you must shoot ore, note the number, etc...). So it will be hard to see when a field is empty... which will add very nice guessing and "I have the feeling it is slowly running out" roleplay. It will create game situations and rivalry, etc. Great.

Works... I mean that's how I was hitting people in Conn with a pirate transport. You just need to ram them hard and not just "swap paint" as they call it.;)

Cap8 Hegys shooting each other over mining spots? *Grabs popcorn*
On the collision topic: I basically approve of this, but i'd be great if ships would suffer shield dmg upon collion first, and hull damage only with shields dow.
Shields block particles and asteroids you run into, why not other ships?
Following this logic, torpedos and missiles weould be ignoring shields as well.
