I believe that what Gryph is getting at is that no where in those rules that have been quoted does it say that one must leave the system. It only stipulates that you cannot enter or re-enter the system.
To elgatodiablo, "Once you hit cruise, you HAVE to leave the system. Then, you cannot enter it until participants have left, or until after 4 hours."
So you say that you have to leave the system, but where in the rules does it say that you have to leave the system?
Pretty sure the farming bots+bats to stay alive has been covered before. And I'm pretty sure they came to the conclusion that you shouldn't do it. Dunno why it's not written though.
I see the rule as very simple PvP matter. I you flee intentionaly or die don't come back to have revenge. Leave the system to not risk to engage against the same opponents. It is YOUR choice to leave or log off.
The "4 hours" and "do no re-enter the system" are just a way to say : "please sir, leave the others players in peace for a while. No more trouble, we have had our 1h fight, RP time now"
Battles these days sometimes strech many systems, so i wonder, if you run, leave the system can you reengage in the next? I am not sure about this, so i usually wait till they engage me and then defend myself. Probably loosing (runing) in one system would mean that you lost it for 4h, and now you can defend the next system (unless destroyed). Could someone give me some clarification on this?

No, what Gryph is getting at is arguing semantics. quit trying to find a way to cheat by misusing the rules. It's the "letter vs meaning" of the law argument, which i find absurd. If you have the intelligence to understand the law, obey both the letter and spirit, simple as that. Now bugger off and hang out at Manhattan.
Are you ALL out of your f************* minds? He is trying to FIX the
loophole, not use it. READ the first God darned post.
cmfalconer: don't talk about intelligence when you post something like that.
Also, don't say something like "Look who's talking!", because I never mentioned
anything about intelligence to begin with.
I actually agree with cmfalconer. The rule is very clear.
You can misinterpret it only if you want to do exactly that.
Rules aren't perfect, never will be.
Especially if you'r trying to understand them your way, not the way they'r written.
And, there really is no need for "F********" or similar. Thanks.
If he must not enter, then that means he must leave it as well. More words are not needed.
Quote:However, the fleeing player can re-engage at will if chased.
This also means that he can't re-engage if not being chased.
So, if you enter cruise and flee, you can't come back.
I guess you'd prefer it like this :
Quote:The fleeing player can't re-engage if not being chased.
However, the fleeing player can re-engage at will if chased.
Too many words, eh? First leads to the second, no need for both to be written.

It is every Corsair's responsibility to die a beautiful death in defense of Crete, regardless of how OORP or how capwhoring the opposition is. Launch your fighter, joust the battlecruisers and die a beautiful death. Then, drink it down in the bar.
