He's not pressing on anyone the requirement to use them, so you can if you want. I'm not sure why there is so much hostility towards this, to be honest.
I dont see any hostility. Wankman is a good dude. but this stuff belongs to the 1ic of the OF. When I took over LPI- it had no logo on the id and that was the first thing I changed. Not many people want their logos on their IDs.

I'll kick it your way when I get home. Honestly, I wish we could opt out of having a special OF ID entirely. There's functionally no difference between ours and the matching indie ID, and the OF ID just complicates setting up new characters.
As it’s my job to create game id icons and commodity icons, I must say that any icon requests be it for id’s or commodities follow the usual request methods, which is as follows:
1) The faction lead direct to me via pm in the forum or discord
2) Another dev sends me a request to make one, I check back to confirm if its ok to proceed and if it is, then I create them
They are then in the next update
The reason is consistency, over the years of making them, I have created a psd with over 200 layers, that have the same gradient background, size and effects and so on, of id’s and commodity icons, ship icons, component icons, (some haven’t been seen yet, they are a replacement for existing ones, I did at one time create a zip file that had them, but that was using an old outdated method, which I don’t use anymore)
If I don’t receive a request then they are not made, as henry morgan as said
Thanks for the effort venk but its best to leave it to the current methods of requests and creation
