I agree, too, Zepphos. Though afaik smuggling isn't even the most profitable way to trade. Since it's that risky, maybe the profit margins ought to be increased? Right now, Corfu-Cambridge und NB-NT are the best, aren't they? And they're both perfectly legal... shouldn't be that way. The most risky + illegal routes should be the most profitable. Or maybe I just don't know the best illegal one, dunno.

I agree with both sides for a bit a piece. Yes, lawfulls are definitly in favor when it comes to ship availability. But then again, since when are Pirates better equipt and outfitted then lawfulls. It's just a matter of how you coordinate your efforts to make some real damage. (like 21st century pirate's/terrorists)

Don't choice for a pirating career if you don't want to do anything more intensive then raising your finger to dock. Like me for example :D

About system camping.

I really think that you could reconsider something else....

Are the SA patrols based on knowledge or on intuition... when it's intuition, i would say, stop this nonsense. But when it's bases on knowledge, do they have a snitch, that tells them where and when a smuggler is coming by? I'd love to know....

Now stop this newly beginnen flame post, and start debating again........

Well, to answer that question, and for those who don't know, Admiral Harrisson of the SA (me) is decidedly corrupt. He has his own planetside Cardamine operation (on the quiet, obviously) and so has certain 'people' transport this cardamine in for him. Since he has this operation, he doesn't want the market flooded, so is using the SA's power to stop the other smugglers in Liberty.

There is an ongoing RP with the IND on this (Sorry Hood, haven't been able to post recently due to exams) and the extent of this opperation will be revealed at a later date.

And keep in mind, we have caught countless people smuggling into Texas in the last few weeks. It's only common sense that we position ourselves there for the time being. If you want to smuggle, take the heat off Liberty for a while until the Military get lazy and stop watching. There are plenty of other profitable runs to smuggle on.

Greetings again,

Well, I am fresh from my finals and ready to return to the game =D. I would like to apologize for my extended absence but this real life thing keeps getting in the way ;D.

I am not whining, I am simply trying to find a fair compromise within the rules/a definite ruling on what can and can't be done. I am not saying smuggling should be easy, I am saying that it shouldn't be allowed for a faction which is supposed to be patrolling and guarding three(or is it four?) systems, to instead be staying in Texas waiting for traders. Staying Texas only when I am logged on my trader. Only when someone who they know is smuggling do the SA congregate in Texas. That isn't a blockade, that is an ambush of questionable legitimacy. This is one of the questions in the original post, just a matter of can they do this?

They(SA) even go as far as sitting in Puerto Rico, waiting for a return trip, or for us to leave Texas, then opens fire without a second thought. I can understand following us but this individual camped the Texas jump hole(in Puerto Rico). This individual was there, in the Junker Guard system, before I ever left Texas or my partner ever left Humboldt.

I applaud those who have presented counter arguments in this debate, but I cannot ignore the pointed arguments of Prontera.

To AdmSirRed and any others not willing to read the entire post: A better opinion could be formed if you took the time to read the lengthy, but worthwhile arguments and gloss over the flame posts. Case in point: Harlequinn's second post compared to Razr's post.

On another lets avoid the flames please, after all cooler heads will prevail.

Thank you for your time,
Krenshaw

PS:

Zepphos]And quit whining if you get blown up.[/quote]

I have not been blown up by SA, either they are inept or I am too good, I can't really say as I haven't had much experience among other players.

And now about cruisers/battleships... DON'T SMUGGLE WHEN A BATTLESHIP IS ON!!

However; what you neglect to see is that when only a battleship is defending/ambushing, is that there are great profits to be had in this situation.
