With the renameme command as it was mentioned here is almost impossible to hunt personal bounties.

May be there is a way to add unique hull number so the said ships could be tracked somehow?
I find such kind of feature really necessary compared with some cosmetics like engine changes.

The ideas seems really nice. Not sure if it's doable or means a another ball of paperwork for debs, other than that a big +1.

Just increase the time between two /Renameme, for instance a month or two; so ship could be recorded and hunted properly.

what about people who legitimately need to change their name though?
A unique ship identification number could be a good idea. It'd work like a license plate.

Then people could just move ship to another account and rename.

Moving a ship to a new account resets the timer. And as it should do, if you buy a ship off a player and then are stuck for weeks waiting until you can rename it, it kinda spoils the fun. The old system with the Name Change Certificate is interesting though.

Would you buy a ship that might been used to commit illegals acts ?

Ship sale is ooRP process. Show me a navy that sells a carrier to some odd fellow.

Anyway, the idea is problematic. What if I buy a bountied ship?

There are talks about an automated bounty plugin. I was talking about it with Massdriver but he doesn't respond anymore. It would work for individual bounties only, we proposed a system based on feedback from the BHG and some unlawfull players. I can share with you that proposal if you want. It would solve the problems of the individual bounty system.
