Director Enfield,
Indeed I had heard, and if this exchange is any indication, I do believe it's been a long time coming. Our governments benefit enormously when cooperation is on the table, and frankly the fact that it took until now for that to finally be recognized is nothing short of shameful. Either way, I'm grateful to know that the unnecessary posturing is out of the way and our people can finally begin to help eachother in a productive manner.
Furthermore: I understand your people's attachment to their aged spacecraft. Most pilots form personal attachments to their line ships - flaws and all -, and even begin to revere other ships of the like. Such was not unknown to me when the Conquistador line was first being rolled out, and numerous combatants, Malta-over were hesitant to even give the ships a chance. The Borderworlds-line had served Malta well for ages, and to many of us the mere thought of replacing them was unthinkable, bordering on heretical for some. The truth of the matter is that innovation is necessary in order for things to evolve and improve, and though Maltese-built ships are among the best constructs in all of Sirius, even they too have their flaws.
Speaking of personal attachment to one's own ships: I would also ask you watch your tongue with regards to the Tridente-class. I served on and skippered multiple myself over the course of six decades; sure she had her flaws but the Ventri was unparalleled in all of Malta and beyond as an anti-fighter platform. You would do well to remember that. I would however, be a hypocrite if I didn't admit that the design had room for improvement so I'll go ahead and say it: you have my interest. Not only that, you have some of my engineering staff virtually salivating over the prospect of working with an Oder-class, crude as some of its design philosophy may be to their eyes.
You present us with one hell of an offer and at this stage, I do think we can come to accept it as-is.

Well, since my proposition seems to be accepted. We'll need to undergo the means of terms of this technology.
Right now, we've chosen the gunship to which we're shipping out and its currently undergoing modifications to ensure that anything that was specially modified for the Buro has been stripped and the Vessel has been returned to military standards. While we won't be shipping the combat weapons adjustments are being made so your own weapon systems can be used, we're already preparing for universal mounts to adapt to our power cores. You'll find that this Mox fuelled system might be a little more compact to the Fusion systems found on most H-fuel reactors. But theres a big blockade in our plans--
As of currently you'll need to contact the Bundestag about the usage of this vessel too, we don't want something to become of a struggle half way though and you're forced to rescind your recently obtained asset due to an overlooked parameter of legal acquisition. We're at war, but that doesn't mean so for the pocket linings of the Bundestag and the Anti-Foreigner feelings of the Military high command.
My best bet, inform the Bundestag of our arrangement, and tell them that this agreement is an exchange of technology. The military shouldn't be concerned since its not their U-boat and they think its strictly staying in the conflict zone of the Simgas and Omicrons. Police won't be worried because most of the minor criminal reports date back to almost two decades ago. Corporations are a mixed back, but I'm sure a few pay-offs wouldn't hurt.
This is all I can help you with now.
From,
