I was told that firing upon any zoner object would result in the decrease of zoner guard rep.

That is true, but after doing the thing i told x2, you get your guard rep full.

A Kusari explorer GB or the Spartial IMG explorer and a Freelancer or Researcher ID are most fitting for this.

Btw:
Zoner Guards are supposed to GUARD not to spy on house installations and they are not complete neutral.
But Freelancers are - depending on their particular roleplay of course.
And this is about a Explorer char not how to obtain a Zoner Guard rep.

where do you buy the kusari explorer GB? and also thanks for the advice, i guess with a freelancer ID you could get away with using any types of weapons, as long as i can RP it of course.

Bowex actually has exploration written into it's infocard as a job role. You can even find the wreck of a Bowex exploration freighter in Omicron Theta.

Bowex) the player faction is always looking for more explorers. Gives us a bell if you're interested.

Can people maybe avoid constantly suggesting Zoner IDs for generic explorers?

Zoners are a group of people, like a faction.
You wouldn't suggest to someone to go get a Rheinland Military ID if they wanted to be a generic fighter pilot.

The Zoner ID is not generic, it is specific to that group.

If his character isn't a Zoner, why use the ID?
