Thing is, most of them are impossible to code. Damaging the powerplant can be done though. Already Debs and other shield busters leach energy from their target when they hit hull, and Paralyzer missiles also damage the powerplant (quite significantly). It's clever to keep bomber's power down so they can't fire their torpedos, or keep VHFs power down so they can't use Mini's.
doesn't this make you think of a gun that does negative damage ?
wouldn't it be great if you could boost the shields of an ally,
or boost their hull. Support ships you know; i think it'd give the repair ship players more, so say nothing of the strategies...
this has prolly been talked about before, but i can't find the thread..

Repair guns? Its been done and dusted in other mods out there. Can't remember why it isn't here. Its Igiss' call more than likely.

Negative-damage guns are very glitchy- If the negative damage you do goes over the target's hull amount, the Freelancer engine resets the hull count to zero, destroying the ship.
It has MAJOR potential for abuse, so that's why it's not on here.
