It comes to a point where after 50+ well thought out, reasonable, multiparagraph posts are rebuked, one feels the need to be a little more straightforward.
I was being blunt in the post you are apparently warning me for in that fancy green text, trying to show in a humorous manner how silly a restriction like this is. Official factions have extremely easy responsibilities, yet they receive an extremely disproportionate amount of power. Now a group of players who create a faction and don't wish to go through the process to have the O word slapped in front of them can't even ask for people to join? Really?
Hence the comment, now it's a sanctionable offense just to ask for friends to play with. Don't tell me that you don't see what I mean.
In addition to the multitudes of other posts I've quoted just to remind people of the points in them,
Does this rule stop or hinder unofficial clans recruiting? I don't think so, I've not experienced any difficulties because of it personally but maybe that's just me.
A faction is born ingame and whether or not if it will last is determined there too not on a forum.
In my opinion this forum is merily a tool to aid in the monitoring of ingame events/deals and provide roleplay zones. Not a place to advertize recruitment. It is nice for the officials to have their own zone and list how you could join them there but I doubt they actually need it themselves.

XTF represents a popular NPC faction, Outcasts. It is harder with less popular NPC factions when you meet fewer people playing those factions in the first place. How much harder? Depends. Maybe I should just try harder.
although me and my friends are doing quite well setting up our unofficial faction , recruiting here would be nice , but i dont see it as neccesary ....
can we have an update on this? if we're going to be banned from looking for friends to play with indefinitely, please lock. otherwise, please let us know.

EX. [LN] puts notice of [NG] HQ "info post" link, so that some of the people that try to join LN might not have what it takes so they go to [NG] instead.
this is a way to send the less RP developt people to the starting factions, to learn more.

XTF are a popular PLAYER faction get your terminology straight mate. But I digress, with this rule the situation is basically total despotism over the unofficial factions. How would a faction gain enough members and publicity to become a fully fledged official one? Furthermore there are factions that DO NOT wish to be official though they have the players and the activity. Unofficial faction doesn't not transcribe as lolwut faction
And I still believe this:

I meant that they play Outcast characters, and the Outcast NPC faction is popular amongst players in general. Sorry for the confusion.

I don't see why some people have such difficulty understanding the above statement. It's not like opening recruitment for unofficials will lead to some sort of "killing off" of factions as I have been accused of trying to perpetrate in the past. Guess what-- I'm in an official faction and I don't want to see it die. I do want to see players given the ability to form groups on the forums, where things happen.
