I'm currently getting irregular FPS drops, I've got a GTX 470 and an i7 860 with 8GB RAM.
Here is the section in my file:
Quote:[ListServer]
;;;hostname = localhost ;Your local machine
;;;hostname = FLListServer2.dns.corp.microsoft.com ;GUN server in Austin
;;;hostname = 131.107.135.190 ;GUN server in Redmond
hostname = fllistserver.zone.msn.com ;GUN server in Redmond (DNS entry)
port = 2300
Should I just remove all of that past the [ListServer]?
@Fletcher You're looking at the file in the wrong place. You are probably looking at your vanilla FL. Find where Discovery was installed.
You will find a line "hostname = gun.fllistserver.com" in the freelancer.ini file. If you don't, you are either looking at the wrong file or don't have the mod installed properly.

Just checked both my Freelancer directories, both have the same hostname sections. Weird, and the mod apart from the FPS issues appears to be running fine.
[ListServer]
hostname = localhost ;Your local machine
;;; Uncomment the following line to use the community provided freelancer list server replacement.
;;; This line is commented out as some people believe that this causes game lag.
;;; hostname = gun.fllistserver.com ;GUN server provided by www.fllistserver.com
Is this what you were talking about? as i see 3 ; infront of it.
I am also getting the hoppng in game, and never have before with any of the mods.
PS. I did not get hopping until after i blew a few ships up. Before that it seemed ok. Also when i go to exit it is lagging in menu.
PPS. ok i deleted this line ;;; hostname = gun.fllistserver.com and still no difference. Game is like a crack whore with the shakes. I cannot play it at all. Even in a TL your ship keeps spazzing out every 1-2 secs.
PPPS. If it helps Cannon. After you exit freelancer task manager is still showing it running. I have to actually end process to stop it.

Start Freelancer. Does this help?
This helped me with the lag issue for the 5 minutes I played. (not sure for more, can't test now.) However my CTD still remains (it appears only I have it)...
After FL crashes I get the Send/Don't send box. Detailed view of it gives me this:
When I get a more detailed view it gives me a wall of text and code(which I cant copy) and says it will include the following files in the report:
C:\Documents and Settings\DG\Local Settings\Application Data\Freelancer\FLSpew.txt
C:\DOCUME~1\DG\LOCALS~1\Temp\dxdiag.txt like this:
Any ideas?
Should I make a separate topic about this?

Just tried this, and no, it doesn't stop it. it DOES stop about 10 mins into game play, or if I Alt+Tab and sling the graphics bar up and down a few times... (maybe that's just killin' time though)
Intel old 4 Core something
ATI 3870/ 6950 unlocked- checked with both- same issue.
8 gb ddr3
A lot of FPS lag, I cannot even check the new scylla, I would test more tonight, lets hope it works better.
