I'd like to inquire as to why OSI's ID is rep hacked hostile/neutral no dock to the Gallic factions. In role play the Gallic Crown has given OSI clearance to operate freely in Gallia with minor restrictions. We cannot currently pursue this role play due to the rep hack on the Zoner ID. A rep hack that was done for reasons OSI was not involved in.
For IDF Shipping I made a nice post explaining the situation in a previous thread where we could request nerfs... No idea where that went. I'll post it again here...
IDF Shipping doesn't have many serious (unnerfed) defense options apart from a Sunbeam with Pot-de-Fers. Everything else is pretty much useless for fighting or nerfed. We would very much appreciate the Gallia Military tech to be set to 100%.
A small nerf on the ships would be fine, but 100% acces to the guns would be really great.
If that's absolutely not an option, we request a civilian SNAC sell point somewhere in Gallia. Currently we need to fly to the Freeport in T29 to get our bombers nerf-free.
Reasoning... IDF is a company very loyal to the crown and always had good relations with the GRN. We got permission to use a limited amount of GRN ships long before the nerfsystem, as confirmed here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=73958
I see that Freelancers need to be able to have some choice. Fine.
But I see massive problems when Mercs shoot House militaries in IMG ships.
The problem is not that they do it.
The problem is that the new set of rules does not allow the equipment owning faction to do anything about it.
As it is now, I see FL-ID fly Nanda Devi, pwn...
...Bretonian Caps and Bretonia goes "WTF, you again, IMG!"
...Gallics in Taus and Gallia goes: "WTF! YOU AGAIN!"
...
...
...
You get the point.
How can factions like IMG (also GMG, Zoners) protect themselves from harmful irp consequences that they can do nothing again?
Aet: They can FR5 the individuals involved and put a bounty on them. I've gone with "IMG/BHG/Zoner/GMG = freelancer friendly folk" (and only Zoner as pirate friendly folk). Makes sense when you go by lore - these are all factions that make a killing in the border and edge worlds. However, if it ends up being abused (one pirate light fighter with 3 "mercenary" gunboats behind him) then this can, and will be, revised...

1 minor thing I noticed. BHG can't dock on kusari bases if I understand correctly. This is based on what, exactly? The hachet between KNF and BHG has been buried. BHG are welcome again in Kusari.
Aet: Link me to the relevant roleplay for that and I can make that happen... I'm aware of no such change?
KNF would like to have Colonials moved to atleast "neutral - no dock"(and colonials for knf too) since we still at war with them and won't like them even after ending of it.
Also KNF would like to ask movage of Sairs from hostile to neutral - no dock(and same for them).
We never shooted any sairs in Kusari, and don't have them as hostiles in codex.
It won't change situation in Kusari since they are almost never operate there, but will reduce NPC problems if we will decide to move into sigmas.
Aet: KNF/Sairs issue is denied for lore reasons: Corsairs do pirate in Kusari space, so the lawfuls stay hostile to them. Just like the Outcasts will not be getting a neutral rephack to Bretonian lawfuls. CR is set to no-dock in Kusari.
First off, I like the way the rephacks have been done. Particularly how corporations are not full-hostile to out-of-house pirates so their NPCs won't shoot at first, but will actually attempt to pirate us.
Alright, Ageira stuff. The Ageira ID rephacks look good for most of it, but there's a few small changes for other IDs relative to Ageira I'd like to propose.
Gallic Junkers ID set to Neutral-No Dock -0.55. They're publicly known as agents of the Gallic Crown which really does not impress us. No docking on our bases, thanks, you stinking spies.
Hogosha ID set to Neutral-No Dock -0.55. They've pirated us in the past so they're not welcome on our bases.
Xenos ID set to Neutral-No Dock -0.55. While I can see that Xenos have been rephacked Neutral (-0.3) to all the Libertonian corporations, this is actually more of a "balance" concern than a lore concern. We don't want Xenos docking on Pueblo Station when they have Ouray Base just a stone's throw away. Plus they have pirated us occasionally, and Pueblo offers anti-Xenos missions.
Junkers ID set to Neutral-No Dock -0.55. "He doesn't like you. I don't like you either!" We're really just not big fans of Junkers here. Plus Detroit offers anti-Junker missions.
Reasons for assymeticral rephacks: Opens up possibilities for not-100%-legal arms deals with certain shadier groups. While Sirius is embroiled in wars, the only people who can reliably turn a profit are the men selling guns.
About the Ageira ID v Rheinland corporations; why a -0.3 rephack at all? It's not strictly necessary, and we are (at this point) still operating in Rheinland. This question applies for the other Libertonian corps too (excluding IC and Universal), to varying degrees. The -0.3 hack with RM and RFP is fine, though. At the very least, we do have an alright relationship with ALG, who still operate in Liberty. In summary, not crucial, but still worth considering.
---
Tech... seems to be fine. That 90% on BHG tech puts us in a happy place.
Aet: Gallic Junker, Hogosha and Junker set to -0.55 mutual. Xenos set to hostile mutual, reason see below post. As for the -0.3 rephack for Liberty companies operating in Rheinland: Representation of being under heavy scrutiny there, due to being headquartered in a country Rheinland is at war with.
Actually, Ageira should know better that Xenos are assaulting their convoys for Ageira's guns ( lore ). That is hostility, isn't it?
Quote:This group was originally comprised of heavy manufacturing and mining workers within Colorado and Texas. Many of their ancestors also worked in the research station, which was a good employer for generations. But Liberty increasingly made money from its information technology licensing and Trade Lane associated monopolies rather than hard, manufactured goods. Over time most of the blue-collar workers became unemployed and were pushed to the economic fringe of Liberty society. As the Liberty rich moved to Colorado to escape the paradise lost in California, the Xenos were displaced to a small base in the mined out Silverton Asteroid Field. Once there the Xenos launched sporadic raids focused against foreign shippers.
Whenever they were captured they were sent to Huntsville prison in Texas, where cross-fertilization with other inmates only helped to swell their ranks. Xenos also hate the foreigner Outcasts that feed the habits of Liberty's morally corrupt rich. For this reason, most of those declared NCR for drug crimes are placed aboard the Sugarland to keep the two groups separate.
Because of the Xeno preference for other Houses' ships, Universal Shipping has actually benefited from the attacks and has lobbied the government to take it easy on them. It is rumored that some of their attacks on foreign shipping were not Xenos, but actually mercenaries hired by Universal to harass the competition.
There are two additional Xeno bases in the Independent World systems of Hudson and Kepler. Here the Xenos have been able to operate more freely, with only occasional Liberty Navy patrols and Bounty Hunters to secure the areas. They make hit-and-run attacks into Texas frequently, especially to attack the Junker base at Beaumont and confront Outcasts.
The Xenos are currently one of the poorest of all the criminal factions, so they have little resources to buy better ships and weapons. To gain a more stable income stream, they hope to evict the Junkers from Texas, and ultimately New York, and thus control a crucial market for Cardamine.
The Xenos' love of Side Arms has brought them into conflict with Ageira, especially around its Detroit Munitions plant. They also regularly attack Junkers in the Jersey Debris Field of northern New York.
