Base loadouts are still on the to-do list, but don't have priority at this time. Bases should have a few slower, inaccurate pulse type weapons that mainly deter hostile heavies while leaving dodging snubbies alone for the most. NPC patrols not being there are a server load issue (load > 50ms -> Patrols off) which is likely resolved by fixes done earlier in 4.87, mostly hitbox related.
Update:
- Our balance team (now consisting of Blodo and Aerelm) has begun testing weapons and new/adjusted ships. This brought to light a few ship model bugs which have been squashed.
- Some minor tweaks to various systems
- Added ship dealer to Caernarfon (Gateway base in Poole). Almost forgot about that one...
- Tackled the hot potato of the IDs. Someone had to do it after all. Still working on it, but it's hard to please everyone.

Update:
Not as much progress as I wanted to have. Admin duties eating away devtime - really wish we had a playerbase that would play fair . Blodo and Aerelm still work on the weapons. We've decided it will take too long for all the infocards to be completed before player beta - so we'll launch the beta without all those squared away. That might mean there's some rumors here and there that aren't consistent with the player world, but it allows players to enjoy the various fixes to ship models, and it will hopefully be a LOT less laggy. But there's no way to test that without running a server with a 100 or so players, so that'll have to be checked in the live environment.

Depends on how much time the balance guys need to sort out ships and weapons. After that the rephacks and tech compatibility needs to be reevaluated (if the balance guys deliver what they promised, gameplay issues go out the window - so expect the tech "nerfs" to be a lot more relaxed).
Rephacks will only need minor tweaks due to faction diplomacy changing.

Update: Still more infocard work done. Manchester, Cambridge and New London overhauled. Only Leeds and Newcastle left to do and then that region's done. Think I'll do the Omegas after that - not as many bases there, so it should go a little faster.
