I'm not quite clear on what you're trying to communicate here. If you're referring to O-74 beind de-guarded, it is my intention to leave only the shipyard as a Guard base hidden inside the nebula.
Actually I'm looking forward to delete guard IFF, if it's possible. Make Corinth and Livadia close to each other, for example - just like Livadia now located, in orbit of Tirane. FP 15 move to Kappa, Sparta erase.

Whatever, I'm just concerned in regards of removing buffer systems between Lorraine and the Taus, and said two Omicron systems are part of that issue.

Order,BHG|Core,Nomads,Saires and Zoners in Omicrons.
It has no use, only forcing players fly 300k until they meet someone in Delta.
Put Delta jh in Minor where it belongs.Delta is natural crossroad in Omicrons, all factions are there.
Treewyrm is looking at ways to get rid of Omicron Zeta. I've been informed that it is putting an arrow in the knee of activity in the region, so I do agree that changes are required. If it can't be deleted immediately, an intermediary step may be to bring the Jump Holes much closer together in order to effectively shrink the system.
Instead of deleting Zeta, how about deleting Delta and keep on using Zeta as a activity hub, although by making it smaller. Wizard is right, the system is too big, but on the other hand it fits much better into the upper omicrons with its green nebulas than Delta does with is ugly black background.. Put the iridium mining fields into the asteriod belt of zeta sun (inside the radiation field), FP 11 at the location of current Omicron Delta jh in Zeta, done. I say we should get rid of Yaren, as it does not have any real purpose anymore and Omicron Gamma is not that far away that Sairs need a base in the upper omicrons where you will rarely see them anyway.
Gais, there is already preliminary work being done as I'm typing. While providing ideas is most certainly welcome let's not go into endless debates about this or that, or worse yet make yet-another zonerzonerzoner drama out of this thread. Some ideas may end up being used, some may not. So keep the ideas coming but keep endless arguing away from this thread.
Some systems will be deleted, some will be reworked from ground up completely, connected between changed all the way, excessive amount of stuff and junk removed. The main concept I have about this and we'll be following through is to have interesting but not overdone areas where factions will interact with each other and access to them will be convenient as well, meaning no ridiculous 100+k travels through nearly empty systems. Also a number of other considerations being done as well, like addition of anti-nomad missions for Order and Guild Core, places for those too. Last but not the least expansion of Nomads too but nothing ridiculous game-breaking. Oh and a little secret thing to find means to access and to explore. After all this mod is called 'discovery', isn't it?

Fair enough and good enough for me.
Thanks for your effort man.
I'd be in favor of removing or merging some systems.
Omicron-100 seems kind of useless now that there is Mu. Maybe put the necessary ship sale locations or bases of o100 into Mu and remove o100?
This maybe doesnt go into the system map issue, but I'd restore omicron Minor to its 4.85 size (add some of the wrecks and the busted planet if you want). Trying to find jumpholes or players in the huge version was always terribly annoying. Also remove the minefield in Mu, its also terribly annoying, and minefields of that size in that location also seemed very unrealistic because of the effort involved into creating it.
I'd also merge omicron 81 and 86 (maybe I confused the names, I mean the 2 Systems west of Alpha), and make flying through it to get from Alpha to Tau37 not take too long (so the 2 jhs close together). Separating systems like that turns activity hubs into empty wastelands.

But to be fair; and i do not think that i am being subjective here. That is about what Trogdor asked for. A little non-game-breaking progression of the factions involved. So one hopes that it is not the stepchild Nomads but also the other factions that get the same love and affection when it comes to evolution and developement.
edit: yes, i do know you did not say you would not take care of other factions. it is just deduced from you saying that you took extra care of your faction which kind of implies less care for others.
Primary "love and affection" is going for space nature this time. Discovery is overdone in amount of bases put at 10k range as most just went to max out amount of bases they could put into guard systems, then boring systems made just to add extra 100k travel length for transports. Useless systems like 99 going away, and those to remain to become something else. Beauty of space - that's what it's going to be about for me. Bringing up visual consistency to the area with new graphics, new asteroid types, new starscapes and such. Things often overlooked in craze of pumping as much same (bases and npcs) content as possible and stretching systems into obnoxiously large mess. But the new kind to make people want to explore and may be find something other than yet-another base. Mystery had long been ripped away from Omicrons... and Discovery, in a literal sense, it was no more.
p.s. when you can't quantify and measure 'fairness' in its fullest it's always going to be subjective, so there'll be a different approach here.

Good man. Bravo.
