Well I don't know. I've never violently assaulted Wild ID'd players, but I have however been violently assaulted myself every single time I've met Wilde players over the years. I've even had my transport gibbed by a Scorpion with full nomad turrets.
It's an ID with a heavy PVP emphasis, and I think it's a little unreasonable to want to be able to pick and choose engagements.

I understand how you feel because it has happened to me several times. I do not expect this from a Division 9 player, however. If you have any proof that they've quickly engaged you with no RP reasoning please do share with me. The other factions, I can not speak for.

Because it also makes a lot of sense to induce fear in the population while preaching about an invisible enemy, who could be hiding behind your neighbour.
Then how do they explain the destruction of multiple fleets AFTER Kusari was curbstomped?
A rather excellent work coming from the media maybe? Why would Rheinland government let its population panic around and corporate high-ups see the market shares drop because everybody is afraid of doing anything? Why would RM and MND conduct experiments on Nomads in Münster and Schatten nowadays if populationg was supposedly aware of the threat?
Getting tired of this debate coming up again, so I'm going to draw a line.
If you want to play infested undercover agent - don't use Wild ID and don't use nomad equipment.
Now, faction tag is a bit more complicated issue, because there are indeed cases of meta-gaming a tag and D9 were in fact victim of meta-gaming at their beginning. My recommendation to D9 is to use tagged ships for more overt hostile activity and operations and use tagless ships w/o nomad equipment/ID for undercover.
If you have nomad equipment - prepare to have others to scan and assume you're infested, even if you're actually any of real intelligence agencies who also can use adapted versions.

No, that's how I like my Wilde You meet them, get scared to death, and die. Perfect "badguys". Sirius is full of dudes that want to talk about a whole lot of random tings, even the badguys, so it's nice to meet a Scorpion and know that you will be dead soon. Adds atmosphere.

When I fly my Wild ID'd ships, I just assume people will treat me as if I've got a giant neon sign saying [INFECTEE] attached to my ship. That's generally pretty accurate. In addition, I almost always stick a metric ton of Wild-specific shields, weapons and thrusters on the ships. So yeah. Not very undercover there.
If you want to roleplay an undercover Wild character, use the appropriate faction ID. You shouldn't really be needing the privileges of the Wild ID if you're trying to be undercover anyways.

/devil's advocate on
Is it that hard to slap an LSF ID on your infectee? Is it that hard to live without having an ID mounted on your ship that lets you do Sirius-wide terrorization while still expecting players to let you do as you please?

Glorious Order Leader has spoken.
Glorious Arstotzka Order uses FL IFF to get around freely.
So do other inferior kingdoms like LSF
Wilde are no exception.

Order is supposed to act hostile towards everything non-Order that carries Nomad stuff, specifically gear. I am surprised this is not policy of literally every single military faction around.
