The Artefacts are from Corsairs right?I wloud put it this way:
The Artefacts are so Rare,And only Corsairs posses them, and Protect them from "Falling into the wrong hands",we all saw how Artefacts were Dangerous and Rare in SP.Now the Cors are Allied to the Order, and coaporate whit them on the Nomad thing.
Artefacts are Contraband whit a Reason*

Aww dammit... I hate you all now. Now you've made me want the Nomads to win. Both these storys I think are really important, because, there are lots of hazy areas this fills in, ones we were just guessing at, and the anomalies can just be ignored.
And about the Order, the Order of Cincinatus was a completely different orginisation to the alien-hunting Order. The Order of Cincinatus was set up to establish a military dictatorship over Liberty if the situation required it, and probably still exists (perhaps part of the reason president Powell was elected with his ideas about the LSF and Navy?), which could be the answer to all these traders crys of 'facist, facist!' Use the powers of the Order to become a facist government and using a bit of military brutalilty lodge respect for Liberty into their minds. I mean, wouldn't the Liberty factions love to behave like the RM?
The alien-hunting Order was according to SP established shortly before the Nomad War by Orillion to safe-guard against the Nomads so therefore had nothing to do with Cincinatus. I think?
Oh! I just remembered, I saw something about Vahalla Technologies on the infocard of a Jump Hole in SP. I'll try find it.
Well we can't get the story accurate because of Chris writing the Story just to 800,where the SP starts, and we are now rolelaying in time after the SP,we cloud adjust some matters if Chriss had continued writeing it whit the SP Story and Finalize it...Maybe he wloud if this Modding has been expected...
Quote:Because the developers state on the bonus material DVD that the extended intro is canonical.
Are you serious!? The developers actually said the destruction of Sol was canon!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Seriously, is that true?

I don't tend to joke when it comes to these kinds of discussions. Yes, the extended intro is indeed canonical, though I'm of the opinion the escaping officer guy died along the way, since there's no way he could travel to Sirius in a fighter in his lifetime.
I think Atticus Rockford survived because when he arrives, he says "I knew then that I was spared for a purpose." Also, you see his ship landing on a planet with the sleeper ship being dismantled (I think it was Manhattan because the ship later turns into the building that has the Liberty Flag in Manhattan). He could have just salvaged a Jump Drive from the ruins on Pluto, mounted it on his ship, and put himself into cryogenic sleep while he traveled to Sirius. However, when he says "That was 800 years ago..." after saying "I knew then that I was spared for a purpose." I think the developers just made a slight mistake. He probably made it and told everyone about the Nomads, but since they didn't come for 800 years, everyone forgot about the warning.
Darn it, I was hoping that Sol did survive. I really didn't see any reason for it to be destroyed. Why did the Nomads do it? Why would they just show up and blow up Sol? They obviously couldn't be living in the outskirts of Sol, because then they wouldn't have destroyed their home. Instead, they would just kill the humans and leave the star safe. If they were living in a neighboring star, they still wouldn't have been disturbed by the Alliance-Coalition War because the nearest star to Sol is still a couple light-years away. I really don't get why they would just show up and blow up Sol.

What's a jump drive? The only method of travel like that were the intersystem gates, and they were massive ans stationary, certainly not capable of being mounted on a single snub ship. Even with cryonics, how is a single snub going to travel light years without losing power or supplies?
Also, as I recall, Sol was part of Daam K'Vosh territory. The Slomon K'Hara destroyed it after the humans had been judged unworthy after the war or something along these lines.
I don't know, but the ship didn't look like fighter to me..
It looked like a Cruiser or ship of that sort, and for travels through the Sol, ships
needed at least small stasis chambers, because the travels could take 5 months or so..

The Jump Drive was placed in each of the sleeper ships to allow them to travel at light-speed (like a trade lane). If you listen for rumors on Planet Malta, you'll hear an Outcast talk about eight sleeper ships and how three were destroyed before they could activate their Jump Drives. Also, since Atticus Rockford was a general, he probably had a cruiser or battleship that he used to come to Sirius. You can also see him clearly arriving and landing on Planet Manhattan from 5:40-5:50 of the Freelancer Extended Intro, which obviously shows that he had to be alive to pilot his ship down there. He could have had enough supplies just for himself while he flew through space. After all, he is in a crusier/battleship capable of supporting an entire crew. The only reason the sleeper ships were so large was that they had to support thousands of colonists. A cruiser/battleship could easily support one man.

Where did you hear this? Although I will believe that Sol was destroyed, I still want to know where you found this info because I can't find this in either the Liberty or Nomad Backstories. The Liberty Backstory says "They fled for the stars, away from the final spasm of war that swallowed their first home in fire and then in blackness." This doesn't necessarily point to the Nomads.
Sorry about all the questions, but I'm just really into the history of Freelancer.
