If at least Omicron Tau was an Omicron and a Tau, it would at least be a gameplaywise addition, as it would increase ZoI flexibility. But a name change because... of.... ehm.... no reason... with... ehm.... no impact except unnecessary confusion.... ... ... ye.

Also you have all manner of people mispronouncing those names as well. The basic vanilla character set mostly consisted of letters that either couldn't be mispronounced or the mispronounciations were very slight. Now that you added Xi, Chi, Psi and Phi which are sometimes really difficult to pronounce for English speakers (they do it as /zee/, /chee/, /psi/ and /phi/ instead of /ksee/, /hee/, /psee/ and /phee/).

One of my RP threads mentions Omicron-80 - just another example why the system names should be reverted. It is confusing right now and bad-sounding too. Omicron Omega especially.

As char said it's a consistent naming scheme and makes sense. I still feel a terrible lack of Omicron Sigma, Sigma Omicron and Omega Omicron. Might as well for the sake of experiment rename Omega-3 into Omega Bretonia and Tau-31 into Tau Bretonia.

That's nonsensical. The Omicrons were using a different naming scheme since vanilla (a combination of "Omicron" followed by another greek letter.) I don't see how that is hard to understand. And if your RP posts reference the name: That's perfectly fine, the old names are still used inRP as alternate names for the systems.

Oh, and Devs: Since you're already beginning to make sense of your naming schemes, could you please finally fix the Koeln/Munich nonsense? Either name Koeln Cologne or Munich Muenchen. I suggest the former. Looks better.

Why do you thing that someone here is struggling with understanding that, if we are making RP reference, then why not make new greek names as reference with keeping number naming as the primary one (because surprise, everyone used the number names). I like how you skipping all criticism about this f*cked up decision and just saying that it's perfectly fine. Force server popuation to use names that not really a lot of people like is not making any sense and is not fine. I mean this is the problem, devs are living in their own little world out of actual gameplay and you seems to be joining them.

You have a popular opinion of quite a bit of people who actually involved into gameplay in this region by the way.
