I'm not much of a man, that is to say , entirely not one. But I'm one hell of a Rocky Horror Show referencer.
In all honesty, I think this is being blown out of proportion, and is just indicative of a bad trend. Like people thinking naming a character 'Suckii._Suckii_5Dorrar' is acceptable, because it's an 'OORP' character meant to give you an iRP advantage.
Unless people realize it's full RP, this isn't going to change either. If people put half the amount of effort they do into writing paragraphs about balancing complaints, into their RP instead, I daresay we'd be better off.

Uh, when exactly PvP orientation became a crime so these players deserve to be forced to log less (because they are unwanted it seems)?

That's because of one sad truth, that discovery is not alone in.
Disco has, in abundance, both Trolls, and Leets alike. One who are just around to ruin others fun, the other simply acting with their own interests and preferences in mind.
Occasionally, it can be hard to differentiate between the two, but it's no secret that for those not skilled in PvP, or simly not interested in it, they will simply be shafted by this. Unable to log and carry out their RP per normal, because of people that check the Playerlist, see someone in one of their ZoI systems, then run there just to check if they can be shot.
I have a little story for this. I once played a Freelancer, hanging around California, and I rather openly carried Xenos weapons. An Indie LN shows up in a Gunboat, orders me to leave Liberty, so I cruise toward the trade lane to do that. Guy then CDs me, and tells me he's sick of my Attitude, after I begrudingly said I'd leave. Then he started to shoot me. I was breaking the law in this case, yeah, But I didn't encounter a single trader, or anyone in the system, yet, the navy said that there had been complaints about me harassing and upsetting people, before he ordered me to leave. Point is, he had no reason to be looking for me, save that the list showed someone was in Cali.
Ok, my bad. Give this lady a glass of champagne. Or a vodka cruiser.
I still agree with the sentiment of the initial post. Log the bloody game, go for a fly and hunt players down the old fashioned way. Or do a Kaze and just have the same characters ship with slight variations of names all over the place and log as required. I'm certain that these players who don't log obviously don't because they have the cash to not need to trade so can afford to have these ship variations. Too much effort? Oh well, guess you don't want to adapt to something that people feel is better for the gameplay aspect.
It's simple really, log in and bump the activity up. This is Freelancer, not Forumlancer. You don't play the game to be sitting on the forums hoping for something to happen. Something happens when you are in game.
