The whole thing looked exaggerated because at the time of posting the "disbandment" notice you were more active than 80% of the factions on the tracker, but if the plan was to get more people interested all along then it definitely worked.
Honestly, that was not the plan. Our feeling was that our team had low interest, and that the game we were playing was rather..stale, in our feeling.
We're astounded and gracious at the amount of interest that has come up at keeping it alive, and are going to work on making it fun for everyone who joined us, and hopefully for the people who we fly against.
To that point, I'm going to have to arrange a few events.

Pretty much agreed. When I'm happy, that you don't disband, I also don't approve the whole thread. You disband or not - there is no middle ground like "Nuu. we are going to disband, but we won't, if we have people interested". Funny thing - I've almost got baited and joined you.
Although, I don't exclude the opportunity, that it wasn't a cheap trick to get some people aboard, but honestly what was the purpose of this thread?..
I apologise for my a bit may be too harsh words, it's mostly due to the fact, that I'm the leader of the faction, that has only disadvantages comparing to other factions, has very limited memberbase and plays not in the most active region, but still we don't use such tricks. I'm going to make a sandwich now. Just don't do it again, please.

If I recall right, there was a feature once which could be used by official factions to "call for help" if they struggled with keeping an active memberbase. I don't see a difference between said feature and this thread.

It's the approach. "We're dead and no one's interested nor motivated, we're disbanding the faction" vs "Hey we need help we're struggling with activity" emphasize it in two very different ways. I'm not saying don't get help if needed, but don't overdramatize that your faction is dead when it clearly isn't. If we look objectively there are a lot more factions in need of members and activity before [HF]. To be precise it's 75% of the official factions - 14 factions were more active while 42 were less active in the last quarterly check. And it's not like [HF] activity is bad, it was a bit over 9 days in the past 3 months which is a sign of an active faction. At the time of writing that thread they had at least 6 days so they were definitely not "dead", that's the only part I roll my eyes about.
The last few posts seem to make some assumptions that shouldn't be left alone and need to be cleared up...
First, this wasn't some trick to get new members or anything like that. The lack of interest referenced was primarily that of existing members. So, @Corpus13 , get outta here with that shit. If you felt like you were almost baited into joining, glad to not have ya since that was conjured up by your own mindset. If in the future you want to join because you actually want to then you're absolutely welcome to.
Using the activity tracker, sure the HF wasn't "dead" in regards to activity. Yet, that doesn't mean things were in good standing within the faction itself for other aspects.
Bit more than just "Does it have a pulse?" and "How long has it had a pulse?"

When I can understand, that rudeness causes only rudeness, I've apologies for this. I also can't say any other way to treat this:
>unless there's actually enough interest - a tangible, people willing to throw an [HF] tag on and fly level of interest - in saving the faction
>There are essentially two types of people we need.
You needed people to "save" the faction, I wanted to help, and now you say, that
>glad to not have ya
Very nice.
If those assumptions appear - that's your guilt, that you made it look like "We are going to disband, if people don't join/do stuff for HF".

And you should accept other opinions. Period.
More or less, I'm happy that you didn't disbanded, tho HF had harder times and also survived them.
Good luck in the future.
Be nice.

Btw, talking people to get outta here with that shit is considered to be a nice behavior?
