There was RP about the IMG making safeguards against invasion.
There was RP about the Hessians moving forces to Omega-3 to aid the IMG.
There was RP about the ALG basing from Aland to defend it.
There was RP moving the Olympia to Sabah (though this can likely be ruled out thanks to Shooter).
There was numerous counts of ingame fighting where the BAF lost compared to the 3 or four times the BAF won.
Falster never fell.

And the only RP recognized here is Kaze's edgy rp about melting rocks.

Please get better at recognizing the community. It's not player driven if you biasly pick and choose which RP you want to decide is canon.

An event to redo this wouldn't be much different than what it is now. Even if the BAF lose, they have the 'intp assets' to magic the station away, regardless of what happens.

This actually isn't 100% accurate. The Minarchy, for example, would not have cropped up (or at least not as soon as it did with as much autonomy as it currently has) in the event of a decisive Council victory in Provence.

We still have six more of these events to go, too.

I said "equally" on rails, considering how much player RP went in to the Aland takeover (a lot), we are influencing quite a lot, but not the critical aspects and the general direction.

Aland takeover could have been a million times worse, with zero recognition of RP, and just simply swapped IFF without any infocards or wrecks etc.

Alright, and what happens when the Hessians invariably win against a force that in lore is unable to lose against them. How do you all want to twist that?

No one (sane at least) is suggesting the RHA-circlejerk should have the power to waltz into Omicron Gamma and wipe out the Corsairs as a faction just because it was a case of popularity contest (although, numbers might actually be somewhat equal in this specific example). And I'm sure Wesker values the roleplay integrity of his own faction enough, and the greater server environment, that any roleplay objectives the Hessians would work towards would be sensible (i.e not trying to fastrack themselves into a blitzkrieg to remove hostile factions).

The Story Developers and Faction Leaders (in this example, Wesker) should be working together to reach achievable short-term roleplay objectives - I'm sure many factions list short-term objectives on their writeups, however, how many of them have they actually been able to achieve, or at least even work towards because of the status-quo? Looking at how roleplay for those can be sourced and reflected in game before their implementation would be the best thing moving forward. Comms, supply RP, pews, events (of various types, not just pvp) would all be ingredients in the soup to bring these to fruition so that at the end of the day factions can pat themselves on the backs and say "Wow! we did this!".

For example, the Development team could have easily come to RHA and asked them about getting the Kassel involved, perhaps doing roleplay about it's transit, but certainly doing roleplay/events that would determine the damage it took (fatal or otherwise) in the fight against the Gwent, who's fate could also be decided by players through roleplay (and the Developers propose the same to BAF).

I'm not going to pretend that I agree with the PvP conduct of the IMG/ALG/RHA side during the conflict. It was abhorrent, no two ways about it, but ultimately it was triggered by suspicions of eventually confirmed Dev bias. I don't feel like fights like that should dictate the story, as they brought out the worst in the community. We can do collaborative story telling through structured pews and events, rather than chaotic Core 5 sieges marred by accusations of bias and favouritism. We just need to put in the effort to achieve that kind of quality by working together, as a community.

Fine, I'll bite.

The Story Developers and Faction Leaders (in this example, Wesker) should be working together to reach achievable short-term roleplay objectives - I'm sure many factions list short-term objectives on their writeups, however, how many of them have they actually been able to achieve, or at least even work towards because of the status-quo?

Lets list this out.

The first time I listened to the story team was several months ago, they told me to tell the Unioners to piss off from their base in Colonge and let us take it completely. Instead, drama unfolded and the Unioner leader just gave it a totally different interpretation. I got accused of powergaming for doing something the devs told me to do.

A bit more recently it was recommended that I should attack bretonia and the Gwent, so we did, we also committed some forces to the defense of aland ensuring that if we couldn't win there would be mutually assured destruction. But apparently the Norfolk was already in 3 and their fleet is larger than the entire Gallic fleet to the point where "they could sneeze at aland and knock it over" according to a dev. We ended up with a dead battleship and instead of the Corsairs capitalizing on cambridge with the Fes (which was the entire reason it was there) it got moved to 47 and is now looking to take tangier. Apparently our largest military settlement is "exposed", nevermind the geography of the planet.

All of this amounts to fustration, I understand we can't gun for a 100% victory. I do not want it to be one sided from a lore perspective. But Seriously? A goddamn immobile battleship costed us the integrity and mobility of our ONLY CAP ASSET? I'd expect some shit like that if it were to face off with the Altenburg now in open space, not a bretonian relic that can't do anything.

Mix that with this garbage powergamed, last minute canonized, piss poor outcome for the defenders in all corners and I'm out of gas. I am never working with the development team again, Karst was right, it is basically Bretonia Rules the waves to the end. I do not want to be a part of anything related to the development team, I'll stick to rolling over factions with jormungands and smashing people in snub pvp. Life is coming up for me and while I don't intend to abandon this community I am sure as hell never going to do anything related to development ever again.

This is a joke, you saw the hamburg event, I hate to boast. I don't boast on the forums at all because its pathetic. But no one has the spine to face us in an event like this. The Hessian playerbase is filled with rage from years of being rolled over and being in the same shoes as people that complain at us. They would have to literally skew the event against us tenfold, and that would amount to people complaining even more.

If the development team wasn't spoiling bretonia on top of the war that everyone knows they are going to win, maybe this would not be the case. If this were not the case, or a different outcome was possible, I would not have involved RHA.

All three of these facts were accounted for and canonized. I can provide citations for these if you wish. The first point, in lore, was even taken into account by the Bretonians whom the IMG threatened, whether they claim to have or not, with the destruction of the station. This prompted an awkward, poorly executed, lore breaking jump attack with technology that numerous people pointed out to me didn't even exist in the Discoverse (point to point jumps are not a thing). I think the infocard for the Olympia is definitely going to need to be altered.

The BAF decisively won one fight if I recall, which resulted in a two hours long siege. Beyond that point, there were no victories. Furthermore, if you actually wished to account for this, you'd also be wishing for Rheinland to be Hessia, Liberty to be the Commonwealth, and Bretonia to already have fallen to the PvP gods of the GRN| back in the day.

None of the writing was Kaze's beyond the idea of using gas, which was originally intended to be lethal. I'm getting a little sick of this guilty by association thing. The vast majority of the planning was done by myself and @Xalrok.

I think what you're trying to say here is please get better at doing what the communities demands. We recognized the community and factored in every player driven action. Every battle, every participant (including the Core even if not documented, @Lythrilux), every decision those factions made. We canonized Olympia, we even canonized the Erdbeben.

We intentionally avoided canonizing Falster, as a blanket canonization of POBs, even Core 5s, is a massive can of worms, but we didn't exclude it from canonization either. @Karst was already given a choice of an IFF switch (most likely to Gateway), or a base move (which in lore would have happened shortly before the attack on Aland).

So in summary,
