That's a completely unbiased suggestion, isn't it?

If they get away with it, there will be no New London to occupy for the Royal Navy, just a glassed hellhole.
Which should mean, five years from now, glassing the living ***** out of all of Gallia. It's just fair.
I know there's some small outcome effect for this one but it still seems like it would be nice if the defending side could have the chance to stop the attacks if they can destroy all of the siege destroyers within the event time, including the Leeds ones. The more knocked off by the end, the lesser the damage..?
Planets shouldnt wind up invaded or occupied unless all the battleships defending it nearby are destroyed or withdraw, then allowing landings. Battle events could happen for that. Landings could have a freighter supply event to bring in marines. If that stuff happened it would make sense. It also only makes sense these planets would be destroyed if the defenders failed in stopping it from happening. It still makes no sense to me if the plan is to destroy these planets just for the sake of doing so, and not allowing real measured fights to go on, when such battle scenarios are exactly the type of thing people hope to find in a place like this. Pre scripting player activity to this degree seems contrary to what you'd expect in a sandbox space sim roleplay server. Even if a surprise miracle was written in we are still DM'd too much! The game is the medium that allows to set up all kinds of situations. Yet we can only look at enemy bases between patches.
My freelancer dream is one where they set all those ships as destructable and let the situation generate player activity, let players set the story, from both sides. And where GM's oversee a battle system that lets each side earn special abilities they can 'deploy' to counterbalance their situation if they have less ships or abilities. And wouldn't all these things being done also drive players to work/grind to [hopefully] stop their side from losing?
