Afraid? The OP wants war. Me and other active people are also for Core Omicron Empire, including repelling Liberty from Nu. The New House Space system is vague and I'd revert to the old one.
But then people discussed what could realistically happen in canon and what is the scope of what will story actually do -,-
You do realize Nu was completely dead for months yes? The people that get tired of this "BS" are people that want to control things without playing the actual game -,-
Nah no conspiracy - people stop enjoying logging yet want others to play the game the way they want them to, that's just natural imo - normal to feel you have some sway for your past logs etc. Just like every single old generation complains about how times have changed and the kids these days
I think it's also worth noting that (at least from my perspective) the situation was tense but not hostile, with saber rattling on both sides, up until the Outcasts showed up to help. Two outcast warships forming up with the Core fleet antagonized the libertonians into attacking. The way that played out makes perfect sense to me.
For the libertonians, they just saw two enemy warships show up on the borders of liberty.
For the core, their "allies of convenience" were under threat. While the outcasts and core aren't actual allies, they are still neutrals with many common enemies.
For the outcasts, under the guise of helping they were able to drive a wedge between the core and liberty, putting the outcasts in a position to be closer to the core.
The core could have sided with liberty against the outcasts, but would liberty help them against the order and corsairs? No, but the outcasts can.
It's a very interesting situation, which I'd love to see develop further.

Well Kusari has been dead since, idk how long.. but did come alive a bit in the Sigma 21 battle..
Rheinland was killed by the civil war lol, So my Turtle is getting rusty.. and My Valor has become irrelevant ever since the war ended...
The universe does seem to be in peace... but.. nothing really happening around kinda gets boring
The way the conflict is escalating between The Liberty Navy and The Core feels like it's gonna lead to a bloody war. Player Activity has significantly raised in Omicron Nu.
They should have allowed for more player control over what factions are doing with themselves a long time ago. Story is dead and everyone seems too afraid to want to move forward, but fail to realize that without something big going on, the server will never have significant life in it anymore. Players leave because there's nothing to do, nothing that makes dealing with bias and drama worth it.
If only there was some kind of a common system that we could all use to govern who could do what, like declaring war, making advances on stations, changing faction political and military situations, and so on. Allowing things like that would allow for a lot of new growth here, let new things happen in general, and end stagnation for the forseeable future. The smartest thing for this place would be to get all that straightened out into a system, then move forward. With the right system, we could let factions develop much more in depth situations for themselves. And I'm positive it would also generate new actual jobs and scenarios of purpose that usually entice people into logging other roles as well. The server is lucky to hit 45 players for a couple hours, one day a week.
I know its the summer and is a slow time, and coming out of a pandemic many are now taking the chance to get out again. Maybe its a perfect time to start putting new stuff into place so come the fall it would pay off as some people return from summer stuff. This place still has a great potential, it just needs new things to do with what we have, so that its not so rough still trying to find stuff to do after 10 years. Nothing feels worse than playing here when its dead, which is all the time. To me the best way to avoid it all being a waste of time, and avoid it feeling so grimey, is to do more with it, and things that are long overdue! If people want to see the downward trend finally turn around, its pretty obvious by now what should be done.
As Nu has shown - Players can do what they want, don't need story to hold their hand. People started logging en masse because players took the initiative and gave them ideas for logs
