You seem to assume that joining official factions is the only way to "learn to RP" and that official factions are not affected by lolwuts. Both are wrong. Official faction players have higher standards they have to adhere to, and they suffer from more extensive consequences from their actions, but that is about that. It is by no means a guarantee of anything (browse through the sanctions or experience it first hand by faction players in-game), and I find it hard to see why official factions should be favoured more than they are already - especially when some official factions often hold grudges and in general bicker a lot, causing far more problems for this server than any random indie LNS lolwut docking in Rheinland.

Official factions are the "janitors" of disco, and a lot of official faction players are very responsible and do a huge effort to maintain fairness in Disco, but I have the feeling that most of these "responsible" players are the ones who don't really have any particular need for more money. Factions are not the "be-all and end-all" of disco, but rather a useful tool to maintain stability (something some factions tend to fail at).

This, minus the "carried out only by official factions". It's intended to be a group activity. Factions are groups, but they are not the ONLY groups, nor should they be in my opinion. If you want to get a BMM mining band together but can't agree with the course of the BMM official faction (but stay within the bounds of the ID) then you shouldn't be penalized for carrying your own line of RP.

Aet, I think misunderstood my sentence, I was refering recent event in mining operation where only official faction member offer a good RP, while indie tend to kamikaze, dock or the best they can do is silent treatment.
I know if there are many good indie with amazing RP skill around, but wouldn't it be wonderful to add some more so every player in this server can play their role, not just after million of virtual credits.
Edit : Now I'm thinking how if we give more bonus on group mining with certain condition

I agree with the idea. But with the addendum of only making it Ore specific. For the reasoning of;
If a player joins a faction, that faction would ofcourse know how to mine it's respective ores better than most. So why not? Indy ID'd faction people in my opinion are just lone wolves and should be forced to wear the freelancer tags. Because well... they're freelancing.. no? This won't stifle RP. It'll just stop lulwuts saying "yeah well i'm uffishul faction" Because they're not. They're posing. But thats going into a whole different idea i have >.>

TL;DR -> Ores should give a faction specific Bonus to Faction Official and TAGGED (not just IFF+ID) ships because InRP they'd know how to mine it better than anyone else. Unless they sucked.

I don't think it's a good idea. Why should i need to join in to one of the mining factions? When i'm not interested in their RP and i only want to make some money for my main char. And a second thing, joining in to a official faction not automatically improves the RP skill. I've seen a many indies with interesting and amazing RP skills...this is true for the other side too 'coz i've also seen many "factionized" playes with really good RP too. If new players wanna learn how to RP then they'll find a way, with or without faction help. So removing the bonus from the indies just to force them to join in to a faction where they don't want to belong isn't the best idea i think. But it's just my opinion and i get my money from smuggling anyways.;)

Yes Yes Yes. Good idea. This is multiplayer game, and it'll enforce joining official factions, interacting with others. Not only with few ore customers, know to indie miner. Moreover - trading bonus for official corporate players would be also great step forward.
