What's happening with the Omicroners?

Omicron 74 does not need to be owned by anyone. In fact, I thought we were done with guard systems, but some people seem to be still obsessed with power. Get over it, if the Omicroners are gone so be it, the bases in Omicron 74 now belong to everyone, just like the rest of the stations in the mod, gee.

Problem with this being, guard systems are not canonically a part of the overall Discovery story-arc. Omicron 74 was developed on the whim of the faction who owned it, not logically according to the will of the developers. That's where there's a problem turning it into a regular system. It'd be like turning Londonderry into a system that actually counts instead of a hidey-hole for Molly players.
