Part I
First shift
Just let me apologize to guildmasters and fellow colleagues I haven't done this earlier. But last couple of days were so intense that I simply couldn't pull myself together to do this. Now my first shift started at Tau-23. Our convoy of 6 transports started from Tau-23. It was my first convoy. Needless to say it was stresfull on it's own. But that was nothing compared to the renegades ambush at honshou where 4 of our ships got trapped. You can't imagine how terryfing that was for me. They actually pointed their barrels at me. I just couldn't move. Literally. I'm very greatful to the convoy leader who nagionated our way through. That was very brave and it showed that I can count on IMG pilots competence even in dire situations. We moved on. The rest of the convoy catched up later and we reached New Berlin in one piece.
Part II Rheinland's hospitality
It was cold at New Berlin. But it was okey by me. That's something I've needed after all that stressful trip all the way through Kusari and half of Rheinland. Anyway, I couldn't enoy fresh climat of Rheinlands capital for long as I was tasked to move to omega 7 soon after landing with nobium ores. So what could I do? I've filled my transport with basic alloys and "set sailed" to Freistadt. But once I've launched to the space all alone I've found myself frightened once again. This time... I was alone ! In a place I don't know a thing about. And I would be damned to my fears right there if not for very attentive Rheinland Police officers. Seeing my desperation policemen offered their help and escorted me all the way to Omega 7. This was a chivalrous act which restored my confidence for flying long distences in open space and for that I'm forever greatful. I've reached Freistadt safe and sound.
Part III The Great Convoy
After some time hanging around in Freistadt I was informed about the convoy which was about to leave. Since I couldn't stay in Omegas forever I though about it as a good chance to comeback home while making my pockets fatter at the same time I've joined.
Local miners filled my transport rather fast and soon I found myself waiting in Omega 3 at Aland shipyard. From there the convoy was organized. Hours passed by and I've was running out of patience. But soon ship after ship started coming from the tradelane to omega 7 jump gate. All full of Cobalt ore. I've started to wonder where all this ore is going to... but everyone seem to be secretive about the route we are going to take so I've just waited there gazing upon numerous transports full of goods.
Finally it moved... that was facinating. I can't even describe it properly. All I can say is a huge kudos to all the convoy leaders who made this possible.
Conclusion
I feel that I've learned a lot. First of all the routes and zones of operation. About lurking dangers and teamwork in convoys. I've also managed to overcome my fears of operating far from home bases in open space and to trust senior colleagues. I only wish that future in IMG for me promises a lot of good events, a lot of money to be earned and of course a lot of good people to be met.
