So far as I know there is no actual lore friendly way to cure cardamine addiction. Stabiline seems to be a treatment for withdrawals but not the addiction itself - there'd still be irreparable genetic alterations. Not to mention Stabiline allegedly has a whole litany of horrific side effects that can be caused. Stabiline has the potential to be every Big Pharma conspiracy theory rolled into one easily marketed product.

Also, consider this: cardamine gives the Outcasts the edge in combat. It permeates everything on Malta down to the molecular level. Dealing in it has made them fantastically wealthy and powerful in comparison to their early years on the planet. I'd they were to try and remove cardamine from the population group they would effectively have to leave Malta and back to being a nomadic group of impoverished and average pirates.

There's no way to remove cardamine without completely destroying the Outcasts as a society.
