It's still a running system, but it's a dying running system.
Also, Nomads shouldn't be required to type text before shooting.
And they should get something to mine.
Give something to people who have trouble writing and reading English.
Last time that happened, the K'Hara ID got nerfed
How is a (allegedly bad) dev decision about something else an argument against doing something that will benefit a large portion of the playerbase. There will be people who dont speak english well, and there will be people who like to PvP outside of conn without having to listen to or type tentancle rape.

It's a requirement to play here and I adjusted to that. When I started here, I was barely able to write fluent english sentences. Today I can and I'm pretty proud about it. Took just a few months.
Half of the active population of Dublin cant communicate in english without using google translate. When I asked one of them (in German) who told me he had been playing discovery for over 5 years how he hasnt learned english in that time, he said he's an old man (I'm assuming 60 +).
Whether people "should" be able to learn English or not, and whether you like it or not, fact of the matter is that there are many people who dont communicate well in English, and that will never change.

At present, the requirement to chat before engagement as a nomad is basically a requirement to do bad, unrealistic, immersion-breaking, repetitive, boring, and in some cases borderline sexual-harassment RP.
Lowering requirement by allowing engagement without ***warm RP*** will raise the antagonist population (good for gameplay), give something fun for non english speakers (which are there and will always be there) that they can do without breaking rules, and improve immersion by removing a lot of bad RP which is done mainly by people who dont really want to RP anyway and are just doing it because they have to.
And again... if you think your nomad RP is super-creative, super-fun, and super-leet, nobody is stopping you from continuing to do it.
Also, it's perfectly possible that people who enjoy doing RP also enjoy PvP without having to RP all the time. People are in different moods at different times.

I strongly disagree, and so do a lot of other people. I (and I think a lot of other too) would like to see more PvP outside of the kind of boring duel-type Connecticut situations.
Making requirements of good and fun RP is not going to give you more good and fun RP, it's just going to give you less players.
